Doies spyro talk in this game and haeve character development?

Spyro does talk when he's released out of his toy form. But doesn't talk in the cutscenes.

He just stands there and looks adorable, like he always does.

Well, how is the storyline for this game? I'd like to know before blowing hard earned cash.

It depends on your opinion of the storyline. You have to buy the game yourself to see if you like it or not, or watch videos.

Story for this game is lighthearted. If you have played the original Spyro games then you'll find some enjoyment in this one. Its not the best, and it has some work to do before it can hold a candle to the original games but it is a good start, IMO.

There's a story and plenty of chatty characters. But none of the skylanders have any character development except maybe in a few back stories (which are useless, as far as the game is concerned). They're really more like fancy avatars for the player, not much else.

There's a basic plot structure, but it's not something that's really in depth. You can definitely see the effects of the Skylanders saving the day throughout the story during cutscenes and whatnot, but it's not really chatty. Cutscenes usually last for a minute or 2 and for the most part, you can skip them if you want.
