Got my SL during holiday, and my sis wondered what it is, having only ever witnessed Spyro in RR, me playing it, before.

Later, my "gangsta" cousin came, also wondered what I get. He recognised it was spyro, because he played that RR too a few times.

Then, playing it all day and night at my PC, till GPU cooked up. Define me addiction.

But the most hilarious part was, my sis was completely oblivious to the Spyro before, and still unaware of TLOS, get one. When I revealed the poster with the rest of character, she said we should buy some more. When I asked, which she would want first, she pointed at Cynder....

THAT'S RIGHT, SHE ISN'T CYNDORK, SHE DOESNT EVEN KNOW ABOUT HER, HADN'T LOOKED CLOSE, AND SHE WANTS CYNDER FIRST!

Because woe betide that people get drawn to character aesthetics and not their potential to be paired with the main character.

I'm just currently trying to figure out a way to fit the Skylanders stuff into my personal Spyro canon, like I did with LoS. Currently I'm thinking that Skylanders is set way in the past, so some of the characters here would be ancestors to their mainline counterparts. This is why I like the nicknaming system, because I can change the names of Spyro and Cynder so that they can be different characters.

Although there is the question of how Malefor mananged to exist for all that time, and how Glumshanks' descendents bred with other species to eventually produce the modern Gnorc race, very much the opposite of Glumshanks' snarky and intelligent personality (unless they're just descended from the rest of the trolls and not specifically Glumshanks).
