In the Pirate Seas set, what are the other two figures for, really? [CLOSED]

The little treasure chest and swords.

I know the swords come up and they fight for you, but they disappear rather quickly.

And what's with the chest?

The chest gives you gold. It's really helpful.
You can talk to someone, and then you can keep going back and forth and the chest will be in the same place. It can give you unlimited gold, just takes time (you can do this in the main Ruins level too).

What she said! But, I can't use the chest in the Ruins area? Does it only work when you're in certain sections of it?

You can't? That's strange! I can use it just fine.
Once it didn't work because it said "this item has run out of power" but it worked later on.

What does it say when you try to use it?

I'm getting this later on because I'm getting DarkLight Crypt for Xmas, what do the items do in that pack?

When the chest is on the portal when I'm in the ruins, I'm told "This item has run out of power", and I get that message every time smilie

The swords will help you on occasion, but you'll love the chest. A full, additional treasure in every area with gold equal to or exceeding the average in that world constitutes a worthwhile item by any stretch of the imagination. Also, this glitch they're all talking about is on the Wii version only, but if you have that, you can indeed get infinite gold.

It's only on the Wii version? Ah, I didn't know that! I play it on the Wii version.

Also! Don't forget that you can use the location figures during levels as well like you would the sword/chest figures!

The two bonus items in Darklight Crypt are the Healing Elixir and the Time Twist Hourglass. The elixir heals all Skylanders on the portal over time, and the hourglass essentially slows down time for everything except your Skylander.
