So I've been building up my Stealth Elf, and having heard many good things about her blade path, I decided to take her down that route when the choice came up.

Having just learnt Elf Jitsu, I must say, the skill doesn't seem to be any good. Both her poison mist and her blade dance appear slower than her standard combo and do less damage. What exactly am I missing here?

You're missing the other two blade path abilities. Elf Jutsu sounds cooler, but the thing that really makes Stealth Elf the game's dominant melee character is the floating blades of death, or whatever it is the game calls them. Within the first ten seconds of using them, you'll see what we all mean.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. Just one more question, is there a way to gain more mileage out of elf jutsu, or is it just a subpar skill?

It's never going to be as good as standard melee, but trust me, when the floating blades of death arrive, you'll care naught for Elf Jutsu.

I thought elf jutsiu could be cooler but the blades of death are the only good upgrade besides acrobatics and that makes the puny blade beast

when i got elf jitsu for her i thought it was going to be super cool and amazing, but its hard to use successfully in battle so i just stick to spamming my A button(i have the wii version)

Spamming A, or X, or B, or whatever, is definitely the way to go. It lacks the subtle nuance of playing with Elf Jutsu, but that's okay, because it's better. Not every character is meant to be finessed. As long as you can use Acrobatics to speed around the field accurately, don't worry about it if all you do is spam standard attacks. It's better like that anyway.

Plus she is very fast!!! Helps you to get through the stages to beat the times!

I honestly started to think that Stealth Elf was one of the worst Skylanders until she got the floating blades. Those floating blades make her, essentially, one of the most formidable characters in the game. She can clear the "left" key room in Lair of Kaos with those blades in seconds. I was so frustrated grinding her thru LoK for levels/money, but once she's upgraded, she rocks.

This^ I've actually banned Stealth Elf from battle mode when my son and I fight each other. None of our other Skylanders that we currently have can even stand a chance against her. Somehow I will find a counter soon...

This is the Warcraft player in me talking. If she's really this OP, I wonder if they can patch her (for consoles and PC of course) to nerf her a tad.

Of course such an action would open a huge kettle of fish in terms of balancing all the figures which could probably never happen.

Seems like Elf Rogues are overpowered no matter what game you play.

Elf Jitsu is good for Heroic Challenges as she can get enemies on platforms doing one of her new attacks (I forget the name if they are named) and does not have to look for a bomb to throw.
