Water: Slam-Bam
Air: Whirlwind
Fire: Sunburn
Nature: Stump Smash and Camo
Undead: Cynder
Tech: Drobot
Magic: Spyro

Water: Slam Bam ( and my favorite of all ), I like the others too
Tech: Trigger Happy, but I like the others too
Life: Zook or Camo, I like the others too
Magic: Double Trouble, I like the others too
Air: Lightning Rod but I like the others too
Fire: Ignitor and Sunburn, and like the others too
Undead: Chop Chop and Ghoast Roaster but I like the others too
Earth: Dino-Rang and Terrafin but like the others too

My favorites, the ones I play because for some reason I like the character or the gameplay, are...

Magic: L. Spyro
Tech: Boomer
Life: Stealth Elf
Undead: Ghost Roaster
Earth: Terrafin
Air: Warnado (currently, neither Whirldwind nor Sonic Boom appeal to me)
Fire: Ignitor
Water: Gill Grunt

The ones I believe are actually the best in their respective elements, though, are:

Magic: Voodood (Axe Reaver)
Tech: Drobot (Master Blaster)
Life: Stealth Elf (Pook Blade Saint)
Undead: Hex (Shade Master)
Earth: Terrafin (Sand Hog)
Air: N/A (Really, it is too close to call between the two we have)
Fire: Ignitor (Soul of the Flame)
Water: Zap (Slime Serpent)
