I just received the Legendary 3 pack from TRU, but had already purchased regular Chop Chop. I'm giving this to the kids for Christmas. I read that you receive an Elemental stat increase by having multiple skylanders of each type. Do you get a stat increase for having both Legendary Chop Chop and regular Chop Chop? I just want to use my money wisely and may try to save for Sunburn and Wham-Shell later.

I don't believe that the elemental bonus takes variants into account. Unless you are striving for a collection that is 100% complete with all variants, I would trade regular Chop Chop in for a figure you don't already have. Legendary is better statistically, in terms of rarity, and although this last one all depends on personal preference, I would say looks-wise as well.

Thanks Tashiji. That's what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure. The nice thing is that I got regular Chop Chop for $5 during the Black Friday sale. I may just wait for the next wave of characters to come out, because I don't want to return Chop Chop for $5 only to buy another character for $8.

I know that they do count in terms of how many chars you have for the XP bonus accolades (owning 8 chars, 16 chars, etc).

I believe it's based on the Skylanders tab in the Collection screen, where each character (variants included) fills just one bubble. Completed tabs of the Collection are highlighted with a background matching the color of their element, which is what I take to mean that the elemental collection boost is fully completed. Although I have five Magic characters overall, only my fully filled Tech and Earth sections have this feature. Interestingly, despite the Tech section still technically missing Legendary Trigger Happy, it is highlighted in yellow, meaning that the game considers it complete. Only fully unique characters can fill an entry here, and given that the game does seem to make that distinction for highlighting purposes, I would imagine the same held true for elemental boosts. It would be the only way the game could maintain balance between the different elements, as some do not have variants.

Wow, $8 for a Skylanders single pack? Were I live they are $15... So your lucky that they are that cheap.
