huzzah! my first post!
anyhow, I have Skylanders for the PC, and I was able to play in widescreen format right after installation. but after changing some graphics settings, it changed into standard.
I tried going into the display tab and changing it back, but of course, there is no ready option to change it to widescreen.
So now I'm stuck in standard view, unless I uninstall the game, and everything related to it, then re-install it.
but I really don't want to do that.
is there a way to change the settings back to widescreen without wiping my game data? and how?
(NOTE: I already talked to the Activision support. they handed my question to a brain-dead monkey who essentially said "no, but yes", "I'm not sure", and finally, "yes, but I have no idea how" so please, please, PLEASE don't tell me to talk with them.)

Yeah Activision costumer support sucks and they seem to not even read your questions. I don't have the PC version unfortunately but I have heard that the PC game version consists of many bugs and glitches. People are even ending up with their figurines not working due to a faulty portal errors from the game. What you're experiencing is most likely a poor programming glitch since the game is a Wii port, unfortunately I think the only way to fix it is uninstalling and re-installing it. I'm very sorry about that, I wouldn't give up just yet though, there could still be another way to fix it. If I ever find out I'll let you know. Sorry that I couldn't help =(.

I have the PC version (and Wii version)... not sure why you are having problems with that, I just set the resolution to whatever I want and it's fine, I don't see anything that specifically says "widescreen". My monitor is 1920x1200 so I just set the game to that. Try out some different resolutions in the settings. You have to go into the settings from the main menu, not from when you are playing the game, you only see all the options when going from the main menu.

that's just it. the resolutions they offer are all standard. not widescreen.
but of course, I know it's there. I did play in widescreen for a little bit.

just remove it and re-install it, i think that is the best option here.... hacking around save config files can make things worse... and no i dunno where that file is...
