All the news says that the ipad version is being developed by Frima Studios, I've emailed them asking about a release date and they say they are not developing one and that I should contact Activision. Activision says they are not developing one.. but they previously said in press releases that Frima is developing the mobile, ipad, and web versions.

Anybody have more info? it would be great to make use of the characters in a 3rd game (4th if you count the web game)... I have the Wii and 3DS game.

Thanks

Possibly it was cancelled/just a rumor. One of my favorite games, Fur Fighters, was scheduled to have a Gameboy Color port, but it never came off.

rumor has it that the tablet industry is struggling. Unless it picks up again, I don't see it happening.

iPad skylanders would be awesome. I'd play it on mine.

And I really see no evidence of the tablet industry 'struggling'...

almost every game site says an ipad version is coming but that may be because of the original press release. Frima Studios was kind of vague though... when I asked if they knew of another developer making it for ipad they said they couldn't answer for legal reasons but stay tuned... something like that...

I am not sure where exactly this incorrect information comes from, but the projected Tablet growth through Holiday is set to exceed even the bullish side of estimates from earlier in the year thanks to very strong iPad and Kindle Fire sales.

That's a shame, but then how would the PoP work with it, anyway? It'd be a download game, so supplying toys and the portal would be inconvinient.

Maybe it will work like the 3DS game and you have a portal that just loads 2 figures on and then you can turn it off until you are ready to change them out for new ones. It would have to be wireless without a USB port because the tablets and phones can't connect that way.

There is always a possibility they will make these more like mini games with no connection to the figures but I think they will try to integrate them if at all possible.

They could just sell the portal/3 charaters pack at the store and have it come with a download code for the game.
