So I get the trading card, that is cool. But the little sticker sheet..picture of character, bland 'Skylanders' name sticker, and then the figure name. Now, at first thought, I figured you could peel the name sticker off and put it on the bottom of the figure. Not the case, not even an area for it and it is probably too long. Are these name stickers supposed to go on that 'tree' holder thing TRU is selling for an outrageous $40?

That being said, are any of you marking the figures in case they go to someone else's house? what are you using? I figure a sharpy isn't going to mess anything up, but would probably be ugly..

BTW, this is my first time on the board, picked up the game Saturday and have probably played 5 hours with my son, it is our favorite game by far and I was really impressed how quickly he learned the controls and everything. I am going to highly recommend this to anyone with kids for the holiday season.

I took my Skylanders round a friends house the other day, I just changed the nickname of the character at home and once I was done playing at their house I kept my figures, based on their names, away from their figures.

Well, you can use them to "decorate" random items that you use often, or even make magnets for the fridge for them! Make some magnets out of them for your son for his locker at school or something?

I just used my Drobot stickers for a "Skylanders Journal" that I'm using to keep track of all my Skylanders I get, notes, and ect.

I was extremely happy when I figured out the blue thing that came with the starter pack was actually a sticker sheet. I think you can just use them for anything, they're just plain ol' stickers.

I used some of mine in a scrapbook page spread. I call it that particular layout "Gamer Geek Forever".

Actvision made them to stick on the large Character poster over the correct character to show what Skylanders you have "brought to life"
But they could also be used for collecting purposes :3

Wait, you're meant to stick the stickers... Over the characters that are already there? It would make sense if they provided you with a blank poster and then they'd have a use.

Well it is a kid's game, as fun as it might be for adults (and hopefully 13 year old kids). Most kids 6 to 10 like stickers. Maby that's why.

I use the stickers to keep track of my collection on the poster

Stickers are a way for the game to promote itself.

A kid puts that sticker on something and takes it to school. Another kid looks at it and thinks its cool so he asks what it is. Conversations ensue in the best way that kids of elementary age can, and before you know it one kid has to outdo the other.

Kids will be bragging about what they've got and showing the stuff off. next thing you know hundreds of dollars are spent and kids are happy.
