No, I called them yesterday to find out and that's what's happening. You have until 12/24 to spend the 100$ and then they mail out the figures.

You must be a TRU rewards member and buy them using your card to qualify. You have until 12/24/2011 to spend the $100. Pretty easy to do if collecting.

And the certificate to get your character will be emailed after christmas.

I already spent $100. Are they going to mail me Trigger Happy?

Only if you used your TRU rewards card on all transactions and then they will email you a certificate for you to go into the store to pick it up.

Strange, I have a TRU Rewards card (Platinum one, I might add). But it looks like the UK aren't doing it then? Does anyone actually have any picture proof of this though?

The proof is in the stores. My TRUs have signs that state it all over the Skylanders display.

No good. I need photographic evidence before I contact my own TRU stores about it, else they won't believe me/know what I'm on about.

I asked my Toysrus...and they said the $100 has to be in a single transaction...and that the free figure is just a figure off the shelves/display! Do they not know what they are talking about? Or is this really how to get the Legendary Trigger Happy?

It doesn't need to be in one purchase. And for the photographic display it's also on toysrus.com. Just review it there.

Go to the toysrus rewards website. It will show an ad I'm the middle bottom box that changes so u may have to wait for it to pop up. When u click detail ls it takes u to the skylanders products site for toyseus. I've called several times. They don't even know how it works. All purchased must be made in store. Not one purchase but it is prices before tax. They said it will just automatically happen. So its kind of shady. Considering I bought all mike online I went into the store, returned them all, then repurxhased them on my rewards card in store so I'm good to go. I've got all characters available right now. Target backordrred my whirlwind so I ebayed her. If anyone wants her when she is finally shipped I'd be willing to let her go. If the return thing didn't work I plan onspending the 53$ short I will be on the castle and figures for friends. The castle I will be selling too just to get my money back.

Oh yeah call 1800toysrus and hit option 5 for rewards department. They will tell u how it works but they have no details until closer to the promotion. They told me I would be mailed a certificate after the promotion and that there is nothing to sign up for it just automatically "knows" which I find hard to believe. I'm keeping a record of what I purchase and who and when I talk to them to make sure I don't get screwed.

Because Legendary Trigger Happy is not given in this promotion. The people who keep saying that are mistaken. There was no clear evidence that he is tied to this promotion, and there still isn't. I've been saying this for over a week now. Check this thread:

But, he still hasn't been released yet. We don't know if he'll be released in his own one-character pack as an exclusive or not.

I don't know what you're arguing. Are you saying that a coupon that is rewarded to people on Christmas might be when Trigger Happy releases? It doesn't explain why everyone who spent over $100 on Skylanders with their Rewards'R'Us card before October 29th already have their coupon for a free character.

I think he's Toys'R'Us exclusive, I just don't think he'll be as hard to get as people say.

I honestly dont think its worth it. I'm not a big fan of trigger happy and 100 bucks is outragous. But i guess you guys have spent it on them because you're older and have a job or something. I'm 13 so i cant get a job till im 14.

I sometimes wish people would read more.

As an FYI, The two Adventure packs, Ghost Roaster and Terrafin, at TRU are not being credited towards the $100 properly. If you log in to your Rewards R Us account and look at purchase history, each Skylanders purchase will have an "S" behind it signifying it is credited towards the $100. My adventure pack did not and the TRU customer service agent stated it is a problem and being worked on.

In the mean time, they did manually correct the error.

Buying for 100$ will give you a free Skylander, it doesn't mean that it will be L-Trigger Happy. If it was the case, I think there would be more marketing around that to sell more.

I'm not spending that much just to get a blue version of Trigger Happy.

Ok listen, Trigger Happy WILL be a TRU exclusive. Why? Because the other legendaries are only found at TRU.

But, the $100 Rewards thingy is NOT towards the Legendary Trigger Happy. It only gives you a coupon for a free figurine.

It all is a gimmick...... And we love it. Without the insanity it's just a game with 32 characters that's easy to play.

I just got an e-mail from TRU stating that the you get a free Skylanders figure for every $100 you spend in Skylanders merchandise. Now, I plan on being there Black Friday and scooping up a lot of Skylanders stuff during the B1G1 free sale, let's just hope they count the total before taking 50% off the total.
