In a german TRU shop was today a Skylanders event and you could buy Skylanders a week before release.

Spyro's already in the game three times over (regular, dark, and legendary), we don't need him in there again. Besides, Skyro looks a bunch like his classic and LoS versions as it is. I'd rather they put in more characters we haven't seen over and over again already.

But a cameo would be cool, I reckon. Even if it's something as simple as a poster on a wall.

I went to TRU, but they didn't have a demo. :C

How was the demo? I would have loved to play it, but sadly the closest Toys R Us is 90 minutes away... hopefully my Best Buy has the demo next weekend.

Maybe Spyro will learn of his lineage, what with him being a legendary dragon and all, and maybe he'll be told that he is descended froma long line of purple dragon heros, and when told this we'll see older Spyros (maybe as clips from previous games) in a sort of flashback.

I know that in Shadow Legacy where Hunter gets put in Jail for being Spyro's friend. I know thats on DS. I don't know anything about GBA. Ive only played SoI. :B

But, to be fair, Hunter does get locked up alot. Like in YotD when he presses that button.

So he could be a creature(Cheetah) that got captured that you have to save. Just a thought..

NOW FOR SOMETHING REALLY IMPORTANT: How was the gameplay?

The gameplay was good in my opinion. I got to play as Spyro and Drobot, been through two boss battles, and lost three times in a row in the Battle Arena X3

What level of good? Good as in "meh, it's alright"? Or good as in "pretty good"?

And did they have the 3DS version on hand? Did you get to play it? If so, was it better than the console version? Would I enjoy it more? Will I ask you more questions after this post?

They didn't have the 3DS version, only the Wii version to play. And the gameplay was pretty good.

Bah! I need to know about the 3DS version.

Never considered getting the Wii version. If I wasn't to get it for the 3DS, I'd get it for Xbox. I honestly can't see the Wii version being my cup of tea.

I saw a chinese dragon-like Skylander in that Beginning trailer when Slam-Bam was hitting the Cyclops up close. It was seen again in the scene when the Skylanders were being banished out of Skylands by the destruction of the Core of Light.

What does Kaos look like?

Goddammit! Now I really want this game
But I have no money, no job, and parents won't help.
Got no Xbox, or any other compatible system...

And I regret missing my chance to play today, cause now I won't have another chance for a long while, as the nearest Toys R Us is 2 hours away, and my parents refuse to pay for gas and time so that I can play a video game (which they hate video games more than anything else in the world) and a demo at that.

Look at the trailer, the high quality version on the last page.

It's possible to still play the demo over at Toys R Us since the event started yesterday on the 8th.

That dragon looks too vibrant in that scene to be an enemy, and too... present to be just a resident NPC like those red dragons in the original trailer, neat! Maybe he's an early version of Camo, or someone entirely new?
