The ironic part is that there are three pages worth to a game that everyone hates. If everyone hates it, then why is there so many pages?

It doesn't make much sense though, I mean once Ripto hid all the dragonflies with his spell, why didn't he attack Spyro there and then? And the original Spyro games didn't have much of a plot really.

TLoS just copies the plot of the Lord of the Rings, and having Elijah as the main character just makes it even more ironic. I suppose AHT, has a bit more of a story than all the other original games in my opinion.
