So I was checking out the music on my Spyro 3 disc with PSound and I came across this song:
http://db.tt/hRODNqg
I couldn't recognise it as anything from the game, but it's been years since I played through it. Anybody know if the song is used?

Where exactly in the game? In what level? Saying just "in the game" isn't very helpful. >_>

I've got the Europeon version of the game, and I could've sworn I heard it before in a level, either that or I may have heard it on YouTube when someone was LPing it, and in that case it could have been American, not sure, but what I do know is that in the Europeon version the music repeats and replaces different soundtracks, but in America it doesn't, which kind of sucks for me.
I most likely would have heard it on YouTube during an LP. |

That's interesting. My PAL non-Platinum copy reuses the Sunrise Spring music for Evening Lake. I've never heard of this until now.

^ In my pal version it's the same Sunrise Spring music for Evening Lake. Firstly I thought that it's an error and I was afraid that my copy is crashed, but it's only pal

I'm not sure.
It just has PAL in a white box near the PlayStation Logo on my Spyro 3 cover. I've got the Platinum version. |

Yep its in the American version only the Greatest hits Edition and in the Spyro Collectors edition Pack I think.Other music is different can't remember if its just GH and CE though. Can anyone clarify if its in the normal US Black label edition?. Don't understand why us living in the PAL regions didn't get a Collectors Edition.Maybe its to do with the other languages on the game taking too much space maybe?
PAL region basically is like dvd regions where a dvd is locked to certain regions, where games are also locked in certain regions. PAL in this case covers Europe largely and PAL games will only work on PAL Consoles, the same applies to NTSC(e.g America) and NTSC-J(Asia). |

Not locked, I don't think with games. A friend of mine can play PAL games on a NTSC console but has choppy cut scenes, and sometimes a game won't play past a certain point.
However, he also killed his PS2 doing this. |

Hmmm don't know if I'm allowed to say this was it a chipped PS2 or one that uses Swapmagic or something similar?. A normal NTSC console would not be able to do this. Sony put region locking in consoles(PS1,PS2),but they can be breakable obviously and was banned/ made illegal in the UK years ago. My PAL PS2 isn't chipped or anything but I have a Japanese PS2 Fat(first model) anyway. A game that sometimes doesn't go through a certain point I find is often on a chipped PS2 or PS1 where a red cross sign appears this happens with for example with the Japanese copy of Spyro The Dragon I know because I have bought a copy of it and tried it on a PAL PS1 and it happened. Only cheat codes work in this matter though, but I don't need it anymore as I have a NTSC-J PS2. But I understand they are loads of other methods as well of why a game doesn't go through a certain point. Sadly back on Spyro year of the Dragon the music is amazing in both versions.Sadly it never saw a Japanese release. Spyro 2 in Japan did but it used the American version of the game with the original track in Riptos battle of a Man's voice in the background. |
