I put up with a lot of crap offline, so I do know what it is like. In the end, it's usually only comments that come from a heart that is not blinded by rage that effect me.

In the context of an art piece, I wouldn't be offended by an honest opinion, as it's just someone giving an opinion.

I've gotten better about being offended by comments now, but the flip side is that I just don't give enough of a toss to draw any more intricate Spyro art. Doing so would be a few steps backward for me.

As regards Mel and ABE, I just heard back from her and she says it's fine for me to post the comics to the group so I will be doing that within the next few days (with comments disabled and discussion posts set up in the group for each new page after #20).

That's cool.

Rage comments are funny. An honest opinion always makes you feel bad, but when it's actual criticism it's not that bad, because then I could improve myself based off of it.

It's silly how some people harass artists like that. If they didn't want to see Cynder get eaten alive, they should of paid attention to the mature content warning.

Yeah, that's what I don't get. They look at the title, they notice the filter and mature content warning for violence and gore. They should know take the hint that it's going to hurt someone, odds are being Cynder. We're back to the old case of "if you don't want to see it or you feel you're going to hate it, don't look at it".

Heh, I find it amusing. Even if I do like Cynder, I'm not a ridiculous Cyndtard who gets worked up over a piece of art. Maybe you should.

If you want to blow off some steam about it, do so. We'll all get a laugh out of it, and maybe the artist of ABE will like it and feel better knowing that someone is willing to go out of their way and draw art of a character they now dispise just so she can feel better.

Oh, Mel already knows how I feel. It was my Cynder hate that inspired ABE, in part.

Alas, I'm more of a parody artist. If I could think of a funny way to kill Cynder I'll probably do so, but right now all I've got is an idea for a parody of ABE that I don't want to touch because I happen to like Mel and she's got enough flak as it is.

Heh, I could always come up with a story where Elora, Ember, and Krome Cynder plot to murder DotD Cynder...

I think she's actually doing just fine outside of this. She's in the Sonic fandom, so if there's one thing Mel's used to it's stupid fan drama.

Meh... That got kind of old. Once you've drawn a giant dong on a character or worse, there isn't much more degradation that can be done.

The funny thing is, it seems that the biggest protests are that a) Cynder's being killed, b) Ember is evil and c) Spyro is going to wind up with Ember. The first I can sort of comprehend, the second is just silly, and the third is moronic.

You're telling me. I was a part of that fandom.

I laughed my butt off when I saw that. Anyway, yeah it's pretty hard to top that, but it's not impossible.

The first is understandable, but it isn't canon and it shouldn't be taken that seriously.

The second is also not canon, and isn't really possible even in the games.

The third is in a completely different incarnation of Spyro. It's not like she's in LoS, or vice versa. Therefore it's completely unreasonable.

I think I saw a page of the comic on google images. I was looking up "dark spyro" for a new avi and I came across a rather disturbing drawing of a humannoid-Cynder (Methinx she was wearing clothes and was standing on her rear legs) chained to a ceiling and being ran through with I think it was a bladed tail...it had looked like her abdomen just exploded...is that part of the comic?

No, that's not part of the comic at all. ABE features the dragons looking more or less like they do in LoS.

Huh, I'm going to have to look for that pic. I've seen a couple run-through Cynder pieces but that one doesn't sound familiar at all.

That sounds just like something ShaloneSK drew. It's possible it was the picture, actually.

I've never seen that one by Shalls. I remember the one commission she did where Malefor put a stick of dynamite where it shouldn't go and blew her up, though.
