How Much Do You Think It'll Cost To Purchase All 32 Toys And The Game? [CLOSED]

This is something that has bothered me for a while now. But let me just put the details out about this situation first before I ask you guys my question. Now, we all know that Activision has already said that they're going to come out with 32 different characters (including Spyro) that you can use for this new game. We also know that Activision has also announced that when consumers purchase this game, the game will approximately cost about $70.00 (U.S. Currency) when it first comes out. Finally, we all know that Activision has said that with this money, the consumer will receive a copy the game Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, as well as receive a few of the toys/characters that you can use with the game.

Now, the thing that worries me the most about this game is the overall price total for it. What I mean by this is: How much will it cost for purchasing the game itself, as well as collecting all 32 of the toys/characters for it as well? Looking at the facts, we all know that game will only come with a few of the toys/characters. This will then require the consumer of this product to buy the remaining characters separately, but only if this particular consumer wanted to get all of the characters for this game. Which then leads me to my previous question. If somebody wanted to purchase this game as well as all 32 of the toys/characters for it, how much will it cost altogether? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be cheap, but I'm worried that the price might be too high for some consumers purchase.

Let me give you guys and gals an example of this situation. (Note: This is just speculation at the moment.) Say the toys for the game will cost about $3.00 a piece (U.S. Currency) separately. And also say that somebody didn't buy the game when it first came out and had to buy the game separate from the toys. Now, saying the game is about $50.00 in this situation, and that the person was buying both the game and all 32 of the toys at the same time, then $3.00 a toy multiplied by 32 toys+$50.00 for the game would equal a total cost of $146.00. Now, $146.00 is a lot of money in this situation for some people. So, in theory, now everyone who would be able to buy everything for this game. This would mean that some people would have to either wait for more money to come in before they could purchase it, or (if you are a kid), you'd have to wait until later before you could buy everything.

This then leads to another problem. This new problem would be the overall time the toys are in circulation. Which leads to another question I have: How long do you think the toys will be in circulation worldwide? And if the toys are in circulation only for a short period of time time, what should people who can't afford all 32 toys as well as the new game all at once do if they want everything for this game?

What do you guys and gals think?

I know I won't buys all the toys if I get this game.

I may buy a few of the really good ones though.

If they had each toy not only come with a new character but also a new world to explore, that would make it more worthwhile.

It'll cost more than it does to buy a Wii or maybe even a PS3 at their lowest prices. That's a rip-off. <.<;

$10 is the most the figures will cost.
There are 32 figures.
3 already come with the game.
Therefore, the extra ones will obviously cost $290 at largest. Add the normal game, $70.
$360 is the highest, at least in the US.

About $300. For me it would probably only cost $90, since odds are I would only need about 5 toys.

Ya it would have to be better than Little Big Planet 2 in order to make me fork over that much money.

And I haven't even bought LPB 2 yet LOL.

Say what you want, but it's a good plan on Activision's behalf. For one thing, to me it's exactly like DLC only with an actual toy.

A toy that serves as a memory card to save your character's abilities :3

I'm planning on getting only the black griffon, the feathered dragon, the water dragon, Spyro, and maybe a few other characters that I find interesting, just not all 32.

knowing Activision around 3k, plus shipping and handling from store keepers hand to yours another 800$ then to start the game you have to activate each character for about 300$ a character

That's another thing I'm worried about....that I might actually need to train them to progress properly. I don't want to have to spend hours replaying levels just to upgrade my stats so I can progress. smilie

I'm not that big into Pokémon. And I never had to do much grinding in it.
Depends on what Final Fantasy we are talking about. They vary, but usually aren't too bad for it.
ou don't need to grind in DotD.

3k? You're joking right?

800 for shipping? You're joking right?

300 each character to activate it even though once you buy it it's activated? You're joking right?

Now it looks like you're just pulling crap out of your ass because you can't think of any reasons to really hate the game.

I'm starting to see how the toys are simply more expensive DLC...

The game could be good, but the toy thing is annoying me.

$300+ for a full game? That's crap.

You can complete the game using only one toy.

But some toys unlock secrets or whatever. I'm not sure if they meant a specific toy, or one with a specific element with that one.

Its true.
He's just looking for ways to critisise and hate the game more.
Anyway, I'm just buying the Dragon toys, maybe about 5 maximum. I'm not into toys except for older more detailed figures (Like the Bioshock Figures.) So I'm likely just to get the Dragons or Dragon-like Creatures

Each toy is around 10 dollars (for US currency). You get 3-4 toys in the starter pack. So thats 28-29 toys left. It'd be around $280-$290.

The UK will probably be more expensive as usual. I'm only going to buy a few, the ones I really like.

Although in regards to DLC, I'd honestly rather have a figure than DLC. I don't tend to buy DLC as it's an even bigger rip-off than the figures will ever be.

Not really. It depends on the actual DLC in question. I have seen some great bargains.

Knowing Activision though, they would make DLC expensive. The toys are costly enough as it is.

Seriously though, it's good to have DLC, or else we would have to take a trip to the shop everytime new maps, characters, etc, are released for our games.

I would, but England is far more expensive than Australia in general. In fact, when the rates were fair, you were cheaper ._.
