That's never happened to me, I can always get all the gems in that area.

Yeah, you can only reach it with a GameShark.

It's a hiccup like the secret Dino Mines portal or 601st Fireworks level(forgot the name...) gem.

So would your gem count go up by 5 or do they not count?

If you have the Infinite Gem code off, then apparently your gem count DOES go up by five.

(BTW, it's one of those purple gems)

Yes, it's just a little gem they forgot to remove, they were probably going to out something up there like maybe a boss fight.

You can still get every gem, but if you use a GameShark, you can proxy jump there and get 5 extra gems.

I've got a moonjump cheat for the game from Action Replay, maybe I'll try it out some time.

It's quite amusing how people are still finding new stuff like this all these years later

It's just a glitch in the game. If you arr lucky, it will accidentally count a gem wrong and you will get 601 gems.

Or, it could be because of the Unreachable Gem.

Apparently, it's on a platform that is unglideable to, and only appears in a certain difficulty. I think it was Easy.

Question: What is gameshark and how do you get it?

A GameShark is a cheat device similar to an Action Replay.

The removed cave? The gem isn't there.

I think that there are two enemies which go towards your gem count that are normally unreachable, so with out a GameShark you probably won't have any luck.

I forgot, can you reach those cannons? If you can't, you might have had to destroy them.

You might not be able to get them unless you start a new game.

Does gameshark ruin your game or anything? I was gonna see if I could get one to try this.
