GameShark, the old device used for half-hacking into games and doing secret cool cheats with codes. There is a code (can't be bothered to find it) to glide without getting any lower by holding X as you glide. If you 'moon-jump' from the edge of the ledge that the 'Harbour Speedway' portal is on around to the back of the mountain the 'Super Bonus Round' portal is in, and run around to the other side, and moon-jump again all the way to island, ending with a hover, you'll land on it to find three lives.

Now why would the gamers put that impossible tower in the game that no one can get to (except with the GameShark cheat)???? Was it supposed to be part of the level originally, but supposedly removed it from Spyro's reach????

Unfortunately, the way vacations that year worked out, I needed to take mine right before we shipped the game. When I came back I discovered that the Super Bonus Portal had been moved MUCH closer and that the super-whirl-wind had been removed (for unknown reasons). Unfortunately, the artist who made all the changes (as per the programmer's and designer's request) failed to remove the old island way off in the distance. Same with the programmer who overlook removing the goodies that had been placed there.

No,it was originaly the portal for the Super Bonus Round.They decided to move it to a different spot,forgeting to take off the faraway island.

Gameshark.Like everyone else said.I've seen it at Gamestop,and you may be able to buy it at Walmart.I'm not sure about its cost,though.

Apparently, you could also get to the island by a technique called proxy jumping. It's like some kind of jump glitch which I assume would take a lot of practice to perfect. You can also find more about proxy jumping on youtube.

I'm wondering that if the whirlwind at the end of the Sorcerous match was supposed to be the whirlwind used to get over to the island-like area where the Super-Bonus round was supposed to be.

If they didn't have the time to code it into Midnight Mountain, then how would they have the time to code it into Sorceress' Lair.

Maybe they were able to code part of it, but not all of it. Then, to eliminate what looked like a technical blunder in the game, they put the partially complete whirlwind into the Sorcerous's lair, and then, right when the whirlwind hit it's top height, they programed the game to trigger the cutscene. That way, their blunder could've been cleverly conselled without having tons of complaints about a partially complete whirlwind at the end of the Sorcerous's lair challenge.

By the way, I aways thought the whirlwind that was removed was actually to be after the boss in MM homeworld if you go to the place infront of the boss door, look up you can see a hole. That hole must been the one where the whirlwind is to take Spyro up and up and once above the plalce, you'll fly to that island where the portal was suppoused to be.
