This story is about Spyro, Cynder, Flame and Ember venturing out through light and shadow. Oh, and this is what they look like when they fight:

BTW, Ember is 22, Flame is 30 and Spyro and Cynder are 32.

A few years after Malefor's defeat, Spyro and Cynder had returned home to see their friends and best friends Ember and Flame. Everybody was extremely excited to see them and the two were congratulated and there was a huge party. However, during the night there was a piercing scream, and it seemed Chareon of Earth had been taken away! Nobody knew who did it, but nobody dared to follow just in case darkness was returning. The last thing that was seen was a couple of black dragons flying away into the distance.
"What can we do to save her?" Spyro asked.
"Spyro, you can't fight anymore for a while. Take a break for once. Anway, when we turn adults, we will go and find her. And that won't be long," Cynder replied. Cynder was one of the best people to go to for advice, since it always made sense and if it was about darkness and corruption, even better. Ember was still quite young, about twelve and Flame was twenty. They were learning the ways of fighting.
The next day, the four dragons decided to go to dragon shores for a small holiday. Spyro led all of them towards Avalar and they shot through a portal to Dragon Shores. It had extended now, and the beach was bigger and there were more activities, eating booths, a few caves and the theatre was bigger too.
"Home sweet home," Spyro sighed. Cynder had never been here, so she and Ember immediately zoomed off to have fun.
"Doesn't it feel great to know you can take a break and have fun every now and again?" Flame asked. Spyro nodded. He hadn't been back to his proper home for approximately ten/eleven years now, so he was so happy to be back. He and Flame leapt under the water and had a swimming race. The two of them were so happy to be back with eachother, and Cynder was getting on well with Ember. Cynder and Ember were on the rollercoaster, screaming with joy.
"Just a quick question, are you Spyro's girlfriend?" Ember shouted above the roaring of the rollercoaster.
"Yes, why would you ask?" Cynder replied.
"Because I really want to be with Flame, but I don't know how to tell him. How did you get Spyro?" Ember asked again.
"I just said I love you to him," Cynder yet again replied. "But I would be happy to help you get Flame, just as long as it isn't pretending or lying." Ember thought. "Ok, deal," she said. So the two girls got off the rollercoaster, collected their tickets and went to find the boys. They were very dizzy, so they sat down in a deck chair and closed their eyes, soaking up the rays of the sun.
"This feels so good," Ember sighed. Cynder agreed. Spyro and Flame emerged from the water and sat down in deck chairs with Cynder and Ember and also soaked up the rays. The sun was at it's highest, so the four decided to get some lunch.
"Who's up for tacos?" Spyro called. The rest followed him and they got some fresh, warm tacos, cooked under the sun.
"This is good," Flame said with his mouth full. Ember just kept going back for more, then everybody else did too. This was probably the best holiday they had ever had.

Chapter 1:

After their vacation, the four flew home and saw that Chareon was still not back.
"What happened to her?" Spyro asked.
"None of us know, but we hope to know sooner or later," Delbin replied. Cynder thought for a moment. She might know what was going on! Being exposed to the dark side also made her know a lot about it and she thought that maybe Chareon had been taken away by some sort of evil.
"I got it!" She cried.
"What is it?" Ember asked.
"Chareon might of been taken away by some sort of evil. It happened to me before so I know," Cynder said.
"Tell us the whole story," Flame said enthusiasticly.
"Ok, here gos. When Spyro and I hatched together, all the other eggs were destroyed. Ignitus, the guardian of fire saved Spyro's, but mine got captured and taken to the dark master. Then, I took the form of an evil adult dragon because I was supposed to kill Spyro. I was a black dragon with much longer white horns, white eyes, a long, snaky neck and I was very skinny. My tail was also long and snaky but my wings were huge yet narrow with tears and holes in it," Cynder replied.
"Did Spyro turn you back to normal?" Ember asked.
"Yes, he did. I was know as the black dragon or the terror of the skies and Spyro had to defeat me, but the convexity just made me turn into a young dragon about Spyro's size and the same age. I'll never forget that," Cynder replied. Everybody was astonished. Maybe they knew who to send off on the journey to find Chareon.....
"Spyro, Cynder, Ember and Flame, you must go and find Chareon," a wise dragon said.
"But why us?" Spyro asked.
"Because Spyro, being a purple dragon you can master four elements which could help us a great deal; Cynder, you still have dark powers and you know a lot about evil, you will certainly help. Flame, your power of fire is stronger than Spyro's, so you can burn things a lot better and Ember, with bubble breath, you can easily trap enemies in bubbles if the others are too weak. Now go get em!"

Chapter 2:

It was morning, and Spyro, Cynder, Ember and Flame decided to pop to the Dragon Temple to practise.
"How many rooms are there?" Flame asked.
"I don't know, but pop into that room and seeLitinan. He'll trainyour fire breath. You know, if you choose only to learn fire, you could be the guardian one day," Spyro said. Flame nodded and went in.
"Cynder, go to the dark powers section and go to the first three, then go into neutral and go to one. Ember, go to room sixteen and then, if you want, go to Flame's room, number three. I will go to three, eight, fifteen and twenty-four, then we will aquire our dark forms and get our elements for them." So each one learnt their elements carefully, although each guardian made them learn differently. Litinan taught all the dragons everything he knew about the element itself, Cyril taught them about the great ice ancestors, Terrador taught about defense, Ceri, the bubble guardian, did a get to know you and show us your skill type of thing and the dark guardians taught how to attack. There was one thing they had to do before they aquired their dark forms, visit the Chronicler. He had to choose their elements carefully, matching them.
"Aah, hello. Spyro and Cynder, sit here. You have dark forms, so you don't need to join in," Ignitus, the present chronicler said.
"Flame. Please sit in the throne of darkness." Flame climbed up into a big seat with black mist curving around him like fingers.
"Flame, you are a powerful young dragon, very feisty too. You are also fearless. I grant you the element of Fear!" Ignitus declared. He then presented Flame with a deep red crystal and placed it around his neck.
"Ember, take a seat," Ignitus said. Ember worriedly sat in the throne, and stared in anxiety at Ignitus.
"Ember, you can be cowardly at times, but you are certainly eager to be a great attacker. You are also a daredevil, like Flame. I grant you the element of Poison!" Ignitus yet again declared. Ember recieved her crystal and climbed down. There was still much left to do in this sacred room though....
