Oks! Im online now! BOy, alot more people joined! YAY!!!!!! This is the end of this cahpter, the next is called... THE MAP, THE HAMMER AND THE GIRL,

p.s a new main character arrives!

“I’ll go first,” Matt said stepping forward into the middle. This was only the third time he had ever tried to use his powers. He was nervous, because didn’t show her what he meant. She might never believe him. He shook his shoulders, shaking off tension. He raised his arms up, and begun to summon up the energy.
Just like last time, he tried to make himself as calm as possible, opening his mind to things around him. His hands began to get hot, sweat broke on his forehead. It was a long time until he felt the small spark of energy in him. Carefully, he brought fourth the force of energy from within him and let it flow in his veins. The magic was pulsing free in his body now. The magic was in his grasp. All he had to do was bend it to his will. He reached out with an imaginary tendril and caught it. The power was ready at his command now. He opened his eyes to find his vision was blue. Everything was just shades of blue. Matt and Valora glowed like light bulbs, giving a pleasant radiant light to their surroundings. The bushes were an aqua colour, while the vibrant blue trees swayed in the wind. He pushed his power out beyond himself, touching things he was metres away from. He lifted all of the leaves from around him like he did last time and made them circle his hands, now balled into fists. He decided he would try something different now. He felt the wind battering against his face, and he raised arms to feel his will of the wind’s direction changing commence. The dirt and leaves around them rolled backwards and Matt, Simon and Valora.
Cold crept up around his fingers, and the energy slipped out of reach. He felt the power being drawn back to inside his core and his eyesight returned to normal colours. His shoulders heaved up and down as he breathed in as much air as he could. Goose bumps popped out on his legs and arms, he shivered, feeling the chilling wind slide of his skin, now gone white with cold.
He looked up to see Valora. He couldn’t help letting a small chuckle out. Her jaw was slack and her expression radiated with pure amazement. Obviously, she finally believed him.
“Is that enough proof?” Simon interjected in and saw Valora place her hands on her hips.
“Okay, whatever; but what about yours? You said you had discovered your powers as well.” Valora asked expectantly.
Matt and Simon saw this coming. Simon grinned, sighed and readied himself to somehow try and bring up the power he felt before.
Simon closed his eyes as Matt did and balled his hands into fists. He let all tension disappear and started to feel stupid as nothing was happening. He searched his mind of how he summoned his power last time. It was a vague memory as last time he was barely conscious and his vision was blurred. He remembered how he felt last time, just not how he did it. At the reserve, all that happened was everything flashed green and a force of new energy rose up his body and made him able to lift that rock and throw it even though he wasn’t touching it. After a minute or so, Simon opened his eyes feeling stupid.
“Sorry guys.” He apologized, “I’m trying, but it just isn’t working. Last time it kind of just… happened.” Simon frowned and let his arms loose at his side. He saw Matt biting his lip, while Valora kept her straight face.
Matt narrowed his eyes and grinned. “Simon, last time you used your powers…” Simon nodded. “Did you feel like you discovered a part of your body you didn’t have before?”
“Ummm… sort of, I guess. There was a part of mind that like opened up and let a flood of energy pulse through my body. The problem is, I don’t know how to open it.” Simon’s forehead furrowed.
“Let everything relax. Let your mind nearly shut off completely, and it will come.” Matt responded.
“Ok. I’ll sit down this time.” He said. Simon found a comfortable place, leaning on a rock. Yet again, he closed his eyes, but this time he just let every part of his body flop to the ground and he relinquished control over his limbs. He treated it like going to sleep, not one muscle was tensed in his body. He did not know how much time had passed until he mentally poked around his mind. Eventually coming to a part he hadn’t felt before and the back. It felt like a dam, full of water and ready to burst fourth. He could imagine how fragile it was, a simple prod and the dam would crack and the energy would come. With his mental finger, he smashed the barrier and a strange force seized his body and he felt the adrenalin permeating his body. His eyes flashed open, and to his surprise, his vision wasn’t green as he had expected. He focused entirely on a stone a few feet away, and he felt the energy rushing out of his body and into the stone as he directed it. Simon raised his hand and commanded the stone to do so as well. Ad he wished, the stone arose from the ground and floated it the air. This had all happened in the matter of seconds, and it was only milliseconds after he had begun to raise the stone the energy force slipped out of his grasp and exhaustion overtook his body.
The energy was sucked swiftly back behind the mental dam in his mind, and it solidified to be as hard as a brick wall. He looked up at Matt and Valora. Both had broad smiles spread across their faces. Valora’s in bewilderment, while Matt’s in pure joy.
“Simon puffed and pushed three words. “That good enough?” he asked.
“Simon,” Valora was speechless for a moment. “That was incredible! You made the stone rise like nearly a metre above the ground for like five seconds!” To Simon, that sounded ridiculous as she was all in awe of him as it was a whole metre!
“Well, good on you.” Matt said. “I knew you could do it.” Simon’s chest was still heaving up and down in great attempts to take in oxygen. He gazed at Matt’s and Valora’s face radiating with joy. To his surprise, he saw a serious expression settle across his face. It made him uneasy.
“What is it, Matt?” Simon asked.
“Simon, in both of our dreams we were told important things. What did Ithidriel tell you?” Matt folded his arms and sat down on the rock Simon was leaning on. Valora’s impressed look faded as well, and an air of mystery came upon them. Simon sat up straight.
“We were in a battlefield. I have no idea where.” he began. “Ithidriel came to me and told me that in a matter of months maybe our whole world could be at war with an evil we haven’t heard of or seen yet. Hmmm… what else was there? Oh yea, he told me we have to meet at the reserve on the next full moon. I reckon it’s important. Are you going to come?” Simon finished his explanation with a sigh.
“I’m going.” Matt said immediately.
“Well, I might as well.” Valora added after a little while.
“Was there anything else in your dream?” Matt asked, noticing the sky was beginning to become grey.
“Not that I can remember. Well, nothing major really.” He said slowly, trying furiously to recall what he saw in the dream.
Matt looked carefully at Simon and Valora. There was still one thing on his mind.
“We still have one question unanswered.” He said with a tinge of worry in his voice.
“What is it?” Valora questioned.
“You Valora. What about you? Are you the going to have powers like us? And if you are, when will you get them?”

THE MAP, THE HAMMER AND THE GIRL

This is good, very good. They have her convinced, and they both survived the Predator. Everything is coming together. The last step is still to be taken, but not until they get to Morundor. It won’t be possible ‘till then.

63 Longspur Ave, Matt’s house

Matt repeatedly threw the basketball against the wall. Boredom had taken over already. Over the last few days, Matt had been trying to hone his elemental skills. Practising by surrounding himself with light objects, he summoned his powers to create currents and he tried to direct the items around a series of poles he had stuck in the ground on his front lawn. So far he had only made it past two poles without his powers fading, hitting the poles, or losing control of his powers drastically and the objects flying in sudden unpredictable directions. After kicking stones and pinecones around for half an hour, Matt decided to take another look at the map he had found those days ago. He might understand them a little more now all this had happened.
Matt unfurled and flattened the map on the floor, smoothing the creases out with his hands. To him, the map felt strange, like it emitted an energy of some sort. Discarding any thoughts such as that, he stared at it, like he was trying to extract something from it. He realised he wasn’t getting anywhere after repeatedly running his eyes over the paper and merely looking at the same thing for ages. He looked at the clock to see it was eight o’clock; he should be getting to bed now. Matt stood up and stretched, his muscles ached from having his legs folded for so long. He yawned, and his eyelids felt heavy. Matt stepped over to close the curtains before he lay in bed. Just as he was pulling the blue and red curtains together, an inch of moonlight snuck through the gap and struck the map still lying on the floor. Matt gazed down in awe at the map; it had changed dramatically and was now completely covered in symbols. The symbols were in rings, getting larger as they went outwards, until they reached the edge. The symbols were a metallic sky blue and shone just like the moonlight. Not only had these symbols appeared, but a new map had appeared, it was a map of the world, but not with any landmarks he knew of. Where he thought Mount Everest was, there was a label saying, “Tamor Ron”. Many other names alike that were scattered around the map, and there was one in particular that caught his attention. The Bermuda Triangle had always beheld great mystery for the world, with ships disappearing and planes crashing. But he noticed the word; “Atlantis” was put there, right in the centre of it. As far as he could tell, these were no human places, they were something else; but he was still clueless to it all. Matt squinted at the small New Zealand shining in the moonlight. To his surprise, he saw exactly where his home, Christchurch would be, was a minuscule label saying, “Morundor”. This intrigued him greatly. What if he could find this place, it may answer all his questions. Matt heard footsteps coming up the hallway; he knew it was his father was coming to tell him to get to bed. As swift as his limbs could get him to move, he slid the map under his bed, he saw the symbols and shining places vanish from the map’s face as he scrambled up to bed.

Heres a bit more of the chapter! introducing...... Sophie!

The sun was high above Simon; a layer of sweat was on his brow after practising with his powers for a long time. So far, his only progress he made was that now he could lift a pebble and throw it ten feet across the garden. He was up to his feet in tall grass that tickled his legs as he made even the slightest movement. This was not the only thing he had been trying in the last few days.
Recently, he had been having a swing around with the war hammer he had in his room. He could still barely lift it, let alone use it in any helpful way.
Simon picked up the hammer and gripped it firmly in his hands. His muscles tensed and hands wrapped tightly around the war hammer. He pretended enemies surrounded him and attacked them with the hammer ferociously. It was long until he was exhausted, and every part of his body ached like hell. As he was using the war hammer, he accidentally let it slip out of his hands and it went flying. The three foot long hammer hurled through the fragile window and he heard it shatter his mother’s precious china vase. That would take some explaining to do. He quickly rushed in to see the damage.
There were multiple pieces of cracked china covered the floor. He tugged the hammer out of the wall, leaving a foot deep dent in it. After tossing the war hammer aside, he bit his lip, considering his options of how to explain what happened to his parents next time they came home. He shrugged and resumed cleaning up the pieces of china.
By the time he was finished, it was already twilight. Red sunrays were spread lightly across the sky. He decided it was time to make himself some dinner. It was an hour before he was able to sit down and watch some television. Simon picked up his plate from the kitchen bench and let the aroma of bacon, lasagne, and roasted potatoes drift through his nostrils. Simon walked around the corner from the kitchen to the TV. It was then, Simon saw it.
The war hammer he had discarded just before had been showered in a delicate array of blue and silver moonlight. Simon dropped his dinner right there and there examine the sight more closely. There was a clatter of plate hitting floor and a squoosh of the lasagne. Simon knelt beside the war hammer, his eyes still feasting on the sight beheld.
The war hammer glowed just like the moon except with a turquoise radiant light. The runes along the staff part of the hammer shone even brighter, and when he touched them sent a mild electric shock coursing up his arm. The war hammer was strangely warm when he clasped his hands around it.
Simon lifted it around to look at the face of the hammer. Here, there was only one rune; and it was one he recognized. It was the symbol of the element of earth, and it was a deep, emerald green with a dull glow. He didn’t know why all this was happening, but Simon knew his world as he knew it was evolving into something bigger, and he was playing a part in it.

The next bit indroduces sophie actually. Sorry!

Oks, ill let you meet sophie!

Simon heard a knock on the front door. Who would be calling at this hour? He asked himself. Simon summoned Ithidriel to help him. In his imagination, the Minotaur was standing in heavy silver armour, with a broad sword in each hand at the door. Ready for anyone to come in that could be hostile. Simon reached the door with anticipation, wondering who on earth it could be. Turning the knob and opening the door quickly, he saw some-one not expected. Sophie Peterson.
Sophie was a girl at Raven hedge School. He felt himself blush red immediately. She also happened to be the girl he liked. She was about half a foot shorter than Simon, and had flowing brunet hair that looked even more beautiful now she was bathed in the moonlight. Her blue eyes twinkled just like the stars above and her skin was flawless in every way. He felt a smile tug at his mouth as he saw her mesmeric smile that seemed to shine by itself with glittering white teeth. She was extremely intelligent, getting top marks in nearly every test they got. She was the perfect girl, the perfect student, and what Matt would describe as impossible. He had liked her ever since her first laid eyes on her. Sophie was also very popular at school, and had barely ever talked to Simon. Why was she here now?
“Err… hey Sophie. Why are you here?” he was trying not to sound excited at seeing her. Just keep his cool, and she might be impressed. A smirk flickered across her face as her elegant figure stepped through the doorway. Simon then saw her eyes. They were confused, like she didn’t know what was happening to her for some reason. He knew how she felt.
“I just want to ask you some important questions Simon,” her voice sounded like a choir of angels ringing in his head at that moment. “Please, may I come in?” she asked.
“Yea, sure, whatever.” She stumbled on what to say then and there. This was his one chance to really impress her. Simon rushed over to the war hammer still lying on the floor, glittering in the moonlight. Before he could shove it under the desk, Sophie commented. “Well, what a nice artefact. Do you mind telling me where you got it?”
Simon didn’t know what to say to that. His mind had gone completely blank. “Ummm… well, I got it at an uhhh… there was uhhh… oh, never mind.” He felt incredibly stupid after stumbling over his words like that. She simply nodded and took a seat on the couch. “So, what’s on your mind that involves me?”
Sophie sighed and folded her arms like to protect herself. “Lately, strange things have been happening to me. Like, really weird. And I’m freaked out. I don’t know why, but there are these boys that appear everywhere I go. Whether I’m in the mid-city, or at school. Not only that, but they seem to be getting more frequent and I’m-,” Simon couldn’t help cutting in.
“Were these boys bald? Or had something like an eye on there forehead?” Sophie’s eyebrow went up in questioning.
“Ummm… yes, how did you know?” her voice sounded slightly more happy, although Simon knew this was not good.
“Oh no, no, no! Not good at all. This is bad Sophie, very bad. These boys, how many have you seen?”
“Maybe, a dozen in the last few days, I don’t know.” Simon stood up, panicking. What could this mean? What did Sophie have to play in all this?
“Okay. What I’m about to say will blow your mind. You may think I’m mad or insane, but I swear it’s the truth.” Sophie was looking puzzled. “Me, Matt, and Valora have recently had a series of events that have destroyed out world. Firstly, we began to all have strange dreams from people we thought didn’t actually exist, don’t ask who. Then Matt found out he had powers over the element of Air; and not long after we had the same boy I think you’ve been seeing appearing frequently except around us. Then Matt asked to meet me at the reserve down the road and across Westlake Park. When I got there, we were attacked by that boy we had been seeing. Except, you need to know something about those boys. They are shape shifters. When it attacked me and Matt, it had transformed from this harmless looking rabbit to a thing that looked human. Also, they are super strong, I mean, he threw me at a tree five feet away with one hand like I was a fly.” He took a breath after talking so fast for so long. Sophie had a mixed expression he couldn’t decipher.
“And you- you’re telling the truth?” Fear clouded her eyes like a blanket of mist obscuring vision.
“I’m afraid so. Why did you come to me though?” he asked curiously.
“Oh, well, it’s just you; Matt and Valora seemed to be the people to ask about strange happenings like this. If I asked anyone else, they’d think I’m aberrant.” She began to twirl her hair around her index finger. Matt was unconsciously playing with his fingers.
Matt’s mind was working furiously; it seemed to be going a hundred miles an hour. He eventually struck an idea. “Sophie,” she looked up at him at the sudden strictness in his voice. “Can you grab the war hammer over there? It may help us.” He pointed to where it was and continued pacing.
Sophie returned with the hammer, handed it to Matt and he began to examine the signs on it again. He found the symbol of the eye; the exact same eye that was on those kids’ forehead. “Sophie, see this? It’s the eye that we’ve both seen. I just have no idea what this could mean!”
“You know I really must be going now.” She said flicking her wrist to look at her watch.
“Ah, yes, I suppose.” Simon broke away from the compacted theories flying through his mind.
“Notify me if you know anything please.”
“Yes, I will. Sure, uhhh bye.” She acknowledged him with a radiant smile and walked out the door her hair flailing in the wind. Simon knew what he had to do. Snatching his phone off the wall, he jabbed the numbers in and waited for Matt to answer. It was multiple rings before he picked up the phone.
“Hello?”
“Matt, it’s me. I need to tell you something urgently.”
“Okay, is it to do with the Predators?”
“Yea, you know Sophie?” He hesitated before mentioning her name for some reason.
“Peterson?” Matt chuckled. He had always thought it was funny that he liked her. “Yes, what does she have to do with any of this?”
Simon began to speak faster out of nervousness. “Only about two minutes ago, she arrived at my house unexpectedly. She had some very strange things happening to her.”
“Such as?” Matt queried.
“She said she had seen the same boy or thing that we had following you; except there was a dozen or so. What could this mean?” Matt was silent, he could tell this was a blow to Matt. He had not expected or even anticipated something like this.
“I don’t know Simon, I really don’t. Tell her to be careful. Oh and there’s something I found that was strange tonight as well.” Simon raised his eyebrow. “The map we got in the reserve well, I left it out in the moonlight and… it changed. Like, it had all these glowing places I’ve never heard covering the entire map. And there a place listed exactly where Christchurch is now. It was called Morundor.”
Simon puffed out. “I got no idea, but that reminds me! You know the hammer?” Simon then recounted everything that happened. Neither of them could come up with an explanation. The hung up, ideas left floating.

The next chapter is..... THE THIRD DREAM!

THE THIRD DREAM

Hmm… This is peculiar! Never had we foreseen this. This Sophie girl has never shown any inclination of being a Guardian! I find it amusing at their intrigue of the hammer and the map. It’s too bad that’s all the lead we could give them.

22 Evans Place, Valora’s house

Valora’s eyes were pried open by her cat, Mindy. A yawn forced her mouth open as she sat up in bed. Mindy pawed at her, purring and blinking with her gigantic, hypnotic eyes.
“Yea, I’ll get you some breakfast soon. Just give me a second.” Valora rubbed hers eyes and stretched backwards. Hopping out of bed quickly, she got dressed and poured the small brown biscuits into Mindy’s bowl. Valora gazed out the dreary window; the grass was sparkling with the morning dew.
Valora was confused. Her friends had shown her proof, told them everything they could say but she just couldn’t believe it was too impossible. Even if she had seen it, her brain was in a mess. She didn’t know what to believe anymore, her world was falling apart. Unconsciously she had taken herself to grab a coat and left for the outside world.
She arrived at the same place that Matt and Simon had shown their powers to her. She didn’t know what brought her here, but somehow she knew she needed to come here.
She sat down on a rock and began to concentrate; maybe she could summon up powers over water since they could over air and earth. Fire didn’t seem like her kind of element, and just as air had been Matt’s favourite element and earth had been Simon’s, maybe since her favourite element is water that would be her element.
She walked over to find the thin stream to test her theory. She stood up straight, put up her arms in front of her straight and tried desperately to concentrate on pushing and pulling the water. Her attempt was to no prevail. After she slammed her eyes open in anger and frustration, she heard a rustle in the bushes. Not long after, an unnatural growl came from the same place. It did not sound of any animal she knew of, it was too loud for a cat on any scale.
“Who’s there?” she asked. No response. Valora raised her eyebrow, and pushed her way through the long grass towards where the sound came from. As she was only a couple of metres away from it, she heard multiple more deep growls coming from all around; whether it was above, behind or in front. A nervous blanket was thrown over her, what was happening? She spun around as she heard a stick snap. Her heart lurched as she saw a black carapace heaving up and down in the grass, like something was breathing. The spine was protruding out of the skin, and no blood was being spilled. She knew of no animal such as this. She backed slowly towards the stream, her foot slipped in the mud and she stumbled backwards into the murky water. A venomous green slime dripped onto her shoulder from above. She gazed upwards, her head shaking, terrified of what would be there. She tried to scream at what she saw, but no sound escaped her mouth. Paralyzed with fear, her eyes widened and muscles were all tensed.
Looking down on her was a creature; it looked like something off a sci-fi movie. There were eight, black, menacing eyes. Never blinking, only fixed on her. Its teeth were rotting black, jagged and crossing over each other. Saliva ran down the fangs and dripped slowly onto her clothes. She felt a prickle on her shoulder to see the saliva was more of an acid, as it burned her clothes. The acid reached her skin and closed its fiery hand over her shoulder. Tears leaked out her eyes as the searing pain of the acid laid waste to her skin. Adrenalin kicked in and she pulled herself away. The monster leaped down from the tree and the rest of its body was revealed.
Trailing behind its twisted body was a long, nearly three feet long tail that seemed to have no bones in it. Its claws were like talons, and she could see they could pierce skin without much effort. The creature continued to prowl towards her as she backed away. Its tail swept behind it, and its neck began to lengthen to nearly a foot long. She gulped, her mouth went dry and terror enveloped her. The beast snarled, its jaws gaping like a snake’s. It walked on four legs, and she saw its hind legs were muscular, scaly and seemed ready and eager to pounce on her. Its back was bulging, and thinned as it went downwards towards its legs. She knew she had seconds before it attacked. Just as she thought that, five or so more sprung out from bushes and down from trees surrounding her. Her death seemed certain. Is this how it ends? Oh please Kestral, if I do have powers, let me use them now! The growls began to get louder, and the beasts were closing in, she thought this was the end. She tried to scream, but no sound came fourth yet again. They were only a couple of metres away. Fear gripped her, and she felt death tightening its grip on her. It was then, a part of her mind felt like it exploded and energy pulsed from there through her entire body giving her strength she had not felt before. Her vision turned all shades of blue, the creatures were all dark blue and she lost control of her actions. Not knowing what she was doing, she flung her hand at the stream, felt her hand go cold like it was immersed in the water and threw her arm at the creature closest to her. An arc of water sped over her head, split into three bolts and struck the three creatures approaching her from the front perfectly in the chest. They were tossed twenty feet in the air and then launched into the think trees. The limp bodies collapsed to the ground and didn’t move again. She turned to face the last two; no fear was seen in their eyes. They were obviously made to have no fear, and not feel for fallen comrades.
One was to her right, the other to her left. Both leapt in the air, claws outstretched, ready to slice her through. To her great surprise, her fear was nullified. She ducked as the creatures soared above her, flinging her arms out then whirling her arms around her head, she sent a rope of water out and wrapped it around one of the beast’s legs. It tripped over itself and face planted on the ground. The second creature screamed at him and launched itself again. She pulled the water out of the small stream with mental tendrils and put her arms into a V shape, pointing at the monster.
Two bolts of water swirled around her hands then headed for the creature. One struck it on the side of the head, and the other on the hip. The monster toppled over and snapped its neck on a dagger like rock.
Her head felt light, and hurt like hell. Her vision returned to its normal colours, and her eyes began to sag. Her strength vanished and she couldn’t even stand up. Her legs buckled beneath her and she lost consciousness.

Oks, Im not sure if itll fit. Man this is a long chapter-ish

Valora sat up, rubbing her head from the pain in her aching skull. It was then she realized she was sitting in cool, soothing water. The soft trickle of water continuously played like music as she observed her surroundings.
She was sitting a pale area of lighter colours and the stones at the bottom of the river where perfectly round, and from the eroding at them until they were stunningly curved to have no rough surfaces at all. A white misty haze was blanketing the area as far as she could see. The water was sparkling clear like a window and flowed steadily down the river. A low hanging tree loped over her and its damp leaves rubbed against her injured shoulder. To her great confusion, her shoulder was healed like nothing ever happened.
“So, I hope I did a good job of your shoulder.” A voice alarmed Valora coming from behind her. She quickly gyrated around to see the speaker.
Standing a few feet away from her was a Griffon.
It stood in its grandeur, ruffling its eagle feathers and clicking its beak every so often. The back half of it was muscular lion hide, and deadly sharp claws. The front half however was eagle; its feathers were a musky brown and greyish to black. The talons were curved to a point that could snatch and rip skin any time. It was only then she recognized that the Griffon was Kestral, her friend.
Although she knew it was Kestral, she felt like it actually wasn’t. She seemed different in a way. As if she hadn’t created her and like she was just another being.
“Umm… Where am I?” her voice was confused and intrigued at the same time.
“You, Valora are inside the world between heaven and earth,” Valora raised an eyebrow as she saw Kestral was not opening her mouth to speak, but whispering these words from her mind. “also known as The Spring Falls. Here is the world of dreams, where people are taken and where angels wander freely. Now, you must’ve figured out who I was by now haven’t you?”
She nodded slowly. “Yes, you’re Kestral aren’t you?”
“Aye, that I am. We have been watching you for quite some time and-.” Valora clicked. “We?” she knew Kestral would have to give her the answers she wanted. She watched as Kestral shifted uneasily, and cleared her throat to talk. “You must understand I cannot convey everything you need to know about err… us. All will be told when you meet us in the real world, but your questions must halt for the meantime.” Valora’s lips pressed together as she scowled. She sighed puffed out and looked Kestral directly in the eye.
“Kestral, look here now. My life has just been torn apart, I don’t know who to trust,” she stood up and began poking Kestral in the chest. She ruffled her wings and began walking backwards. “And I want answers now.” Kestral steered back into Valora’s eyes and knew she had to tell her something.
“Valora, I am going to give a world entire history in under a minute now. We have very limited time, and I need to give you some information as soon as possible.” Valora sat down in a shallow puddle, her blue jeans now utterly soaked.
“Millions, maybe even billions of years ago the world was ruled not by humans, but by my kind, well, the Alarians. There were dragons, elves, dwarves, centaurs, minotaurs, griffons, and omaras. We lived in a great harmonic world, working perfectly like cogs in a clock but then our great God placed humans on the earth.” Her voice dropped and became grave. “We welcomed the humans, taught them how to live, sow and reap. This soon became our downfall… Our kind does not breed like yours, and you’re numbers in no time became near four billion. Still being new to the world, you followed suggestions without much thought and were extremely easy to be convinced. A human by the name of Derak Dathrin rose through their ranks and told falsities that we were savages and going to kill them all. Without another thought, they followed like sheep and declared war upon us. Their army was too great for us back then, a battle had not taken place since the Black Mind was at large. It was matter of mere maybe, two decades before we were driven to the depths of the earth. Thus, we became legends and myths while the humans rule over the surface.” Valora could not take it all in simultaneously and to her horror she realized the name of the human she mentioned.
“Wait a second! You said that guy’s last name was Dathrin, does that mean…” she covered her mouth, and looked at Kestral. Sorrow filled her eyes.
“I’m sorry, but I’m afraid so. We’ve traced his bloodline back to him many times.” Kestral bowed her head and crossed one talon over the other awkwardly.
“If he knew… that his ancestors did that… imagine what he would think.”
“Actually, his ancestors performed a great service to us even though billions of our kind died.” The sentence ended with a slight snarl that sent a bitter chill down her spine. Her worry transformed into confusion as she processed what Kestral said. “Yes, you heard me; they did give us something great. Although we have been forced from our homes to live underground and in our most deeply hidden cities where the sunlight does not touch our skin, scales or feathers, it has saved us our entire kingdom from extinction. It was all-.” Kestral froze on the spot right there. “Oh no, I have spent too much time. I must go, remember to meet Matt and Simon at the reserve on the full moon. It is absolutely vital!” she stamped her feet and began to turn transparent, eventually fading into thin air like mist.
“Wait, don’t go!” she pleaded desperately, she still needed to know so much. She pondered on the command Kestral gave here about meeting Matt and Simon at the full moon. Previously Simon had also mentioned about meeting each other in the reserve. The full moon was only a few days away; she knew she needed to talk to Matt or Simon.
The white clouds surrounding her became more concentrated and all things solid disappeared. The water she was previously sitting in drained away and the grey stones disintegrated to sand. Her vision was completely blocked by the swarms of mist. The ground beneath her felt like it evaporated and she fell into nothingness.

oks! here we go! the last of this particualr chapter

Valora awoke in her body. She was slumped against a rock with Matt standing over her. Beads of sweat covered her over and her shoulder was continuously bleeding. She swiped a look at her it to see a white tissue absorbing the seeping blood that oozed out. She saw the wound was now blood encrusted as she took the tissue off.
It was only then her mind fell upon what happened. What did she do to defeat those creatures? All she remembered was feeling an energy burst fourth in her body and she lost control of her actions. Matt placed his hand on her uninjured shoulder.
“Easy now.” His voice was calming and gentle.
“Matt,” her voice croaked, she could tell it sounded feeble. “How did you know I was here?”
“I really don’t know. It was about half an hour ago when a thought leaped in my head, and my shoulder, the same one you injured began to hurt. The thought was of you, and I saw you lying against this tree, injured and I just knew I had to come and make sure you were alright.” He continually attempted to comfort her with small gestures.
“I’m fine,” she said, then shortly contradicting herself by standing up and stumbling to the ground. “I just need to rest a little.”
Matt’s eyes fell upon the black, dead bodies of the creatures Valora had slain. “Val, what are those things?” She looked up and at him, and confusion flooded her eyes.
“I have no idea Matt, something came over me before, my sight went all blue and I used well… water to kill them. I don’t know how, I just did. They came at me, and attacked me. It didn’t take me long to kill them, and I have no idea what they are.”
“Predators.” Matt said quietly, looking away.
“Could be. Like different version of them or something?”
“I don’t know, but to me it seems the most likely explanation. Just by a chance, did you have a dream like the one I described?” Valora smiled faintly and recalled what happened before.
“Yes and no. It had Kestral, not Whitecraft or Ithidriel and I was told some very weird things as well we all need to know.” Matt raised an eyebrow.
“She said we needed to meet-.”
“at the reserve on the full moon by any chance?” Matt finished off the sentence for her. It had previously happened in Simon’s dream as well. Valora tried to stand up again, successfully this time and then began leaning on the tree, one foot over the other.
“Are we going to meet there?” She asked, a serious tone permeating her voice.
“Of course,” he looked her in the eye; she could tell there was more on his mind than he was telling her. “Something is happening and I want to know what it is. Anyway, what harm can it do going?”
“None, I’ll go. I’ll come up with some excuse for my parents.” Matt was nodding in agreement.
“Well, I guess now you’re alright. I’ll walk you home and then I’ll go.” She began walking, putting her hand on his shoulder for support.
“There’s one more thing I need to tell you.”
“Okay, what is it?” Valora stopped, and they turned to face each other.
“When I had that dream, Kestral told me something unbelievable.”
“Personally, I think I’ve taken enough unbelievable things in the last few days. I’m sure I can take this.”
Valora frowned. “There is a lost piece of history that no-one knows about. Billions of years ago apparently, the world was ruled by Dragons, Griffons, and all other mythical creatures. It was all peaceful, and then God,” She swallowed before saying that word, she didn’t believe God existed. “Supposedly put humans on earth and they err… took over the world. They lost because war hadn’t taken place since a person called The Black Mind was around, and they weren’t at all prepared for the onslaught.” Matt gazed into Valora’s eyes, trying to decipher her expression.
“There’s something you aren’t telling me isn’t there?” Valora stepped back, freaked by Matt knowing she didn’t tell him about Derak Dathrin. Did he really know her that well?
“Well… look, you’d rather not know. Trust me.” She urged pleadingly.
“I won’t pressure you, but I’ll find out eventually.” He said calmly. “I’ll pass all this on to Simon, you good with that?” she nodded slowly.
Matt hopped on his bike when they arrived at her house, she simply waved good bye and he began journeying homeward.

Here we come!

THE FIRST SIGN OF BATTLE

That’s all three of them; do you think that other girl will be the fourth? What other reason would they follow her? We shall just wait and see I guess then. Tonight, the final part of the war will begin, and there will be a victor.

24 Middleton Place, Sophie’s house

The delicate arms of the sun wound their way through the cracks in the curtains as Sophie sat up in bed. She looked sideways to the clock on her bedside table, it read: 1.43pm. She rubbed her eyes and brushed her brown hair out of her face to see. She sighed as she knew she only woke up to the same boring life she had yesterday, and the day before. Holiday boredom had taken over already.
She got out of bed, still groggy, pulled on some skinny jeans and a t-shirt then headed out to the kitchen for breakfast. Or lunch seeming as the time was as it was.
“Hello?” she called. No answer. She immediately awoke to fullness. Normally, her brother, Sam, would be home. There was no note on the table or anything, and neither was there any sign he was in the house. She checked his room, and saw his ruffled bed, unmade as usual. She walked to the door to see if he was outside. As she reached the wooden door, she saw a white piece of paper nailed to the wall and the writing was very rough, and barely readable. She ripped it off the outcropping nail and began to read it. Dread filled her to the brim as she read it.

By order of the almighty Black Mind
You must be taken to him at all costs
We have taken your brother to the Halswell Quarry
Come if you wish to see him alive

She dropped the paper to the floor and her heart became heavy, she had no idea what to do. Her brother had literally been kidnapped. She felt so stupid when she realized she should’ve called the police already. Punching the numbers 111 into the phone, her fingers and arms shaking like hell, she began to talk to the operator.
“Please state your emergency.” The operator was quick and her voice was very monotone.
“I need the police, my brother’s been kidnapped.” A tear escaped her eye and slid down her cheek.
“Please state your address and-,”
“No! I need them at the Halswell Quarry now, I received a message saying I need to meet them there or he’ll be killed I suspect.”
“They shall be there in ten minutes. Please stay calm.” She hung up and began to calculate how long it would take her to get there running. It would maybe half an hour maximum. She might as well begin running; as it was her they wanted.
Sophie’s head was whirling in terror, or was it rage? She didn’t know what it was. She swiftly pulled on her sand shoes and ran for the door. With a deep breath, she plunged herself out the door. Jogging at a steady pace, she felt a vibration in her pocket. She snatched her cell-phone out of the pocket and opened it to see a text from an unknown number. I had four words, and for words only:

YOU HAVE SEVEN MINUTES

She already knew who it was from. It wasn’t hard to guess. Those predator things sent it. She resumed running, pumping her legs up like she hadn’t done in ages. Sweat broke, and her breath was short. But she would not give up, she was not going to stop.

Halswell Quarry, Chrischurch

Twenty minutes later, Sophie arrived to a scene with the police pushing people back, she fluro yellow and blue vests refecting the sunlight. In the near distance she could her gunshots. Screams of men, and the screeching of what she could only imagine were predators. She was still puffing as she walked with aching limbs to the nearest policeman.
“There’s nothing to see here girl, please move along.” He began to shove her away.
“No, I’m Sophie!” She puffed, breathing heavily again. “I’m the one who called you!”
The policeman looked down at her again. “There is a highly restricted and classified scene behind me, and you will be notified when it is over. Please go over-.”
“That’s my brother out there! His neck is on the line!” Fury consumed her, she rose to full height. “Now, let me in.” Her voice was commanding.
The policeman, gazed down, she could tell he found her sudden fury astounding. She looked closer at the man’s ears, they were at a point. Perculiar, she thought.
“I’ll let you pass, but what do you honestly expect you’ll be able to do?”
He walked away, leaving her without another word.
“You just watch me.” She whispered to herself.
The sound of gunshots grew louder as she went nearer. She quickly ducked behind a tree as six S.W.A.T agents ran past her. They kneeled down behind a rock, every so often swinging round or over and letting lose a few bullets. She continued t get closer until she finally got to the front of the battle.
“Girl! What the hell do you think you’re doing?” A man that looked like a cross between a bulldozer and a bulldog was storming towards her. He had an array of guns clinking at his side, he held a knife in his hand, and his vest had S.W.A.T on it.
“I’m the boys sister,” she said timidly, indicating the boy who was strapped to a wooden pole ten feet above, surrounded by Predators.
“Get out! Get out! You are not safe! We might have discovered a deadly new foe, maybe extra terrestrial! You can get killed out here! Those monsters are merciless! Get out!” He was standing over her, his face cherry red and anger radiating from his face.
She heard a whistle of something shooting through the air, and a second later, a black tipped arrow hit the man before her. The arrow was around two feet long, and had split his side open like a book. Blood gushed onto the ground, his breathing turned shallow and he looked at her with remorse in his eyes.
“Show those monsters,” he handed her a small pistol. “What we humans can do.” And he collapsed to ground like a sack of straw. She took up the pistol, frightened to think she can kill with his tool. That fear was replaced by a fierce determination to get her brother back.
No-one seemed to notice her in the turmoil. She took the S.W.A.T bulletproof vest, the black helmet and readied herself. It only then occurred to her that she had never handled a gun before. Also, that she might die here. She knew she was tougher than most girls she knew, she had jumped of the Sky tower before, and done extreme BMX when she was seven. If she can do that, she chuck a few bullets through some monsters.
She began to climb the tree to see if she could get a better look at what was happening and decide where she should go. When she reached the top she gazed down on the battle.
The Predators had Sam hung up on a pole, it must’ve been ten feet high. He wasn’t moving, but she could feel he wasn’t dead, only unconscious.
The Predators were pinned against the rock face, there must have been around fifty to sixty of them. She looked further around to see the S.W.A.T, police were all surrounding them. But they were still outnumbered. There was only forty or so of them. There were Predators or human as they looked with bows and arrows standing on ledges on the cliff-face. They fired nearly one every second. Even when they were hit by bullets, they survived. Stumbling backwards, then getting up, and killing again. It took many bullets to bring one down.
Behind the sandbags, boulders, any shelter, were the humans, firing there bullets. The Predators had one major advantage; half of them could fly. Twenty or so were plunging from the skies and bombarding them with rocks, killing three or four at a time. Sophie then realized that it would only be a minute or two before the would lose, and her brother would die. It was then something strange occurred.
Every predator simultaneously fled back to the ones that were firing arrows, and surrounded Sam. Both sides ceased firing. She could only make out a sentence or two. A Predator standing high above n the cliff-face began to speak in a crude imitation of English.
“We have smelt the one we are here for! They are here! Hand her over, or you will all die right here, right now.”
A burly policeman stood up, his gun still in his shaking hand. “We don’t know who or what you are. But we don’t know who this ‘her’ is. So we can’t hand her over. Not that we would anyway.” Sophie swallowed, afraid of what might happen next.
A cruel smile crept across the predator’s face. “Then we might as well have dinner early.” With a small nod, every Predator she could see screamed a war cry then rushed and swarmed every human. Slashing at their faces and slicing open their chests. Sophie looked away in horror, a tear slid down her delicate cheek. She clutched the pistol closer. She had to do something.
Five or so minutes later, the Predators cleared away and she saw the humans were cut to the bone, not an inch of flesh was seen only skeletons and blood splattering the ground.
“Find the guardian!” cried the head predator. “I’ve smelled her, she’s here alright.” The Predators spread out in all directions, sniffing as they went, trying to find her. She was frozen in fear. The flying ones began drifting towards her, smelling her out. It seemed they couldn’t see, only smell. They were closer; she knew they were onto her. She had to act. If she went down, they’d see her in a second. But her muscles wouldn’t budge anyway, they wouldn’t obey her. The predators were mere feet away now. She spun around, in her panic, the pistol slipped from her grasp and it fell below. She heard a soft, thunk of it hitting the ground. The Predators snarled, looked up and saw an inch of her hazelnut brown hair. They screeched. To her great dismay, they began climbing the tree, clawing their way slowly, snarling, growling and ready to feast by the looks of it. The predators all came rushing to the one spot, to get at her. Death was coming to her. She never thought she’d die young.
It was then a burning sensation erupted through her body and coursing through her blood. Her hands began to feel like they were on fire, sparks began to leap between her fingers. Flames blasted from her palm and immolated three or four predators below. They snarled, and continued climbing. The energy continued to flow through her, and using this newfound power, she laid waste to her enemy. There was a call from the leading predator.
“Flee, retreat, she has found her powers, it’s too late!” He yelled with a piercing tone that seemed to break her ears. It was screaming of such anger he had not experienced ever, it was almost painful to hear it.
The feeling vanished and she felt faint. She got a headache, and the blood rushed to her head. She used the last of her energy to get down from the tree before she passed out. To her luck, her legs buckled beneath her only when she reached the ground. Everything faded, and she passed into unconsciousness. Her head was thumping fast, and then there was nothing.

There we go! something happened to her...

Oks, here we go! New chapter!

THE FULL MOON

It’s her, we knew it. And that’s all four. Contact is our next priority. Tonight, they will attack, that’s when we will first meet them. They will come through Morundor. The Fire Guardian is safe in Morundor already. Not conscious though.

63 Longspur Ave, Matt’s house

Matt turned on the TV to see their top news story, “Mass Murder at Quarry.” The news presenters were advising that young children leave the room because of the images.
He saw Halswell Quarry to his surprise, and then heard a gasp from his mum as they saw the skeletons of men striped bear of skin, muscle, organs, everything. Nothing left. Burning trees could be seen in the background; the fire department was taking care of that though. They explained the death of the men to be of some kind of nuclear reaction caused within the rock it was said, until they came to multiple piles of ‘unexplained’ ashes. But Matt knew it was the ash of the predators; he had seen the same ash when Simon killed that other one. Matt’s interest climbed, and he took in every detail, there had been a battle here, with many more predators than shown here.
“There was supposedly a kidnapping to have happened here,” said the reporter. “We have no idea, where the boy by the name of Sam Peterson is now, but we have found no trace here yet.” She pressed her finger to her ear. “A new piece of information has just come in. There were meant to be a total of fifty-two personnel here. Yet, there have only been fifty-one discovered bodies. The man’s name that hasn’t been found is-.” Matt walked away, fiddling with his fingers. Trying to make anything of what happened. He sat down at his desk in his room, flicking on his light and gazing out to the moonlit sky. It was the-.
Full moon, he thought, apprehension rising in him. He rushed out the door, calling to his mum to say he was going before she could respond. He began walking in the dead of night to the reserve. It felt spooky, almost like he was in a ghost story. He folded his arms in to keep in his heat.
He heard a crackle in the bushes, like the snapping of twigs and the cracking of autumn leaves. He spun around to face from where it came from, it was nothing. You’re being stupid, he told himself. There won’t be anything out here. He came to the entrance of the hut they were meeting at; he decided not to go in. He was freaked out by the black, unlit shadows that shrouded within; he wouldn’t be able to see anything. He stood around to wait for Simon or Val.
Five minutes later, the silhouette of Simon wandered into the park, clutching a new wooden staff in his hands. He waved. Matt feebly shook his hand back at him, and then rushed over to him.
“Hey, kind of freaky out isn’t it?” He looked at him quizzically.
“Not really man, when you get left home alone for weeks at a time and live in a creepy old wreck like mine, you get used to ‘freaky’ stuff at night.
It wasn’t long until Valora’s slender shape was seen coming. When she saw them, she ran over to them as fast as her legs would move. “Hey,” she said, shivering from the cold. “Well, we’re all here right. Now what? Did Ithidriel tell you anything else?” Simon shook his head.
“So how did you get your parents to-.”
The thunderous bang of an explosion could be heard from where they were. They all froze then sprinted towards the sound. As they were running, a heat wave washed over them. Matt saw flames leaping high from over the tops of trees. He reached the entrance to the reserve to see his home burning. Fire ate away at the house, crackling almost like it was laughing at him. Smoke floated through the sky, as the flames continued to devour his home.
Multiple more explosions happened all at the same time. Every house in Longspur Ave burst into flames. Everything was burning, everything he had called home, and everything he had loved, grown with and been sacred to him. Tears expelled from his eyes, sadness overwhelmed every nerve in his body and his knees broke under him. He stumbled to the ground. He felt Valora’s hand softly resting on his shoulder, and through a watery screen of tears he saw Simon beside him, saying something he couldn’t hear through his sobbing.
“There! It’s them! Get them!” A harsh voice of a predator came out of no-where and his sadness transformed into more than anger, it was fury. He sliced his hand through the air, and sent a force of wind darting at a line of predators. It hit them, and their sides split open with the slicing and they fell dead. Matt felt weaker.
Matt, Simon and Valora stood up, and realised they were surrounded on all sides by enclosing, fast approaching predators.

theres a lot more but ill post it when requested

oks, here we go!

“What do we do?” Valora asked terrified.
“I don’t know!” Matt said, was he going to die here?
A silver bluish sphere spun out of no-where it seemed. When it hit the ground, ten or twenty predators were thrown fifty high; they smacked the ground with an ominous thump. The remaining predators howled and called fourth more predators on them. Hundreds more scampered out from the burning houses and charged at Matt, Simon and Valora. They were all frozen in fear, and their eyes were wide with terror.
Multiple more spheres catapulted and attacked the predators. With a silver and white flash, they were tossed in the air and skewered on the fence spikes of a few houses. Matt turned around to find men with swords, bows, and guns he had never seen before rushing out of the bushes. Firing like made, and striking down predators every second, they were slashing with an elegance he thought you couldn’t have while wielding a blade. Many were short, and some were tall with pointed ears. Elves and dwarves. You have got to be kidding me. Matt gaped in awe. They laid waste to the predators, losing very few men. Every so often, two or three all attacked a single man and brought him down. Neither side was giving an inch, both mercilessly throwing down their opponents. Twelve elves were standing back, speaking incantations and casting magic. Fireballs flew through the air, ice spikes sprung up from the soil, making the predators into monster kebabs.
The men surrounded them, as they continued to pour out of the bushes. Three came directly to them, and knelt down on bended knee.
“Sirs and madams, please come with me. Your lives are at stake.” The first one to speak ran away without another word. They were puzzled greatly at the fact he addressed them as ‘sirs’ and ‘madams’. The man had headed towards into the heart of their hut. They hastily followed, with the other two accompanying them.
They arrived in the hut, to see the hut to the mysterious house, Gator’s Batch was open. They must’ve come from there.
“This way, we must hurry. The night is nearly done.” said a dwarf; he held two hammers in his hands. But there was no time to dwindle.
Hesitantly, they walked through and into the place people were not supposed to return from. Although yet again, what would he return to? Everything was gone. He heard a ‘retreat’ call and the elves and dwarves returned through the doorway, bearing deep wounds and still not a single whimper was heard. Blood was smeared on their faces, and they did it all for us. Simon thought. People died for them, to keep them safe. It was a terrifying thought.
“Quick, through here!” A muscular elf with a beautifully angular face began urgently it seemed nudging them into a small trapdoor. They gazed down to see it was a slide.
“Where does it-.” Matt began.
“There is no time! Barador, lock the gates! We need to get you safe in Morundor.” They saw a man over by the door, pull the door close before any predators could sneak in. Then push a series of buttons beside the handle, and with a distinct, clunk, it was locked.
Uncertainly, they threw themselves down the slide; neither of them knew how long it was. All of Matt, Simon, and Valora ended up holding hands as they went down, even more frightened now.
The slide eventually, after a minute or so came to an exit and they landed
on a large black, pillow that cushioned their fall. Thy finally relinquished their grip on each other and stood up to look around.
They were in an underground city. Carts wheeled around the marble floor carrying strange items, whether they were weapons, clothes or food. The marble floor was of many colours, red, blue, gold, white and silver. Hundred feet high pillars scaled up to the roof of stone. The city stretched as far as he could see. There were buildings, homes; towers just like underground cities were described in books. He turned around to gaze up at the biggest portrait he had ever seen. It was of a white dragon, and it didn’t take Matt long to figure out that was Whitecraft by the features. The date at the top read 99690BC, and the caption read: ‘In honour of the last living member of the Council that is no more.’
He continued to look around at the elves and dwarves that walked by. Many stopped, bowed and said something like ‘Brevian Cero’ which they had no idea what it meant. Nearly every man and woman in the city that they had seen had scars over them. Memories of a dreadful past, and their faces wore an expression of a saddened hope. Many were in wheel chairs or on crutches and very person had a weapon on them. Valora felt sorry for them all.
Simon’s feet clicked on the floor as he walked forward uncertainly to see more of its glory. There were no cars, no bikes, only running and walking. He wondered why that was. He looked upwards to see that hanging from the roof were many connected platforms that wound around, above and below each other to create a web of walkways. In the very centre of the roof was what could be seen as a mini sun. It was only a pure glowing lump of light that lit up the entire city as far as he could see. It was magnificent in every way. The buildings were smooth, never a sharp edge, only curved. All throughout every piece of architecture were minuscule designs of pictures and monsters that even told stories.
The three turned around to see the men before emerging from the slide with a soft, slurping noise. The man that had addressed them before came to them.
“Well, my friends. Welcome, to Morundor.”

NOW, THE STORY REALLY BEGINS. ITS NOT GONNA STOP NOW!!!
