As you can tell by the title, this is the sequel to The Summer Adventures of Ignitus,Volteer, Terrador and Cyril. (Previous fans of that story, gather around!) With the same cast as last time. (Minus one character.)
This time, there at camp, but in Winter. So make sure to read the first one!

Cyril hugged his mom goodbye.
"Take care." His mom cooed.
"Mom,Iam not a hatchling anymore. i'll take care of my mom." Cyril said, but he knew she was thinking of when he went ot summer camp last summer, but Cindy never came back.
Cyril,Ignitus,Volteer,Terrador,Amber,Haku,Cyclone,Berry and Jade all conicedentally got into the same class in School, and now they were going to a winter camp program in school for the entire winter, to learn surviavl skills in harsh weather.
"Come on Cyril, were leaving soon!" Flare, their counseller, barked. Sun, not being a school teacher, wouldn't be their counsiller for this trip. Flare was their school teacher, and would be their counciller for Winter Camp. Cyril ran toward the group. Soon they took off into the skies.
"Hurry everybody! The sooner we get there the better!" Flare said and flapped her wings.

Now that people have discovered it, I say its time to offically start now.


Cyril pushed his moon stone into his leather pouch, then put it under his bed. They had arrived in camp, and now everybody was getting settled. Cyril's mother always told him that ice dragons found sleep easier when they put ice moonstones under their pillows. It seemed to wrap the bed in cold, the kind of apthmosphere ice dragons like to sleep in. With winter setting in, the cabin was maintained to keep warm. Not that Cyril minded much. Even Cyril didn't like it too cold in his room. He looked around to see that Cyclone,Amber and Igntius were settilng in well too. They were going to share the cabin with him. Amber and Igntius's shared a bunk, Ignitus on the bottom, Amber on the top. The bunk beds were dhades of orange,red and yellow and embers seemed to crack through the wood, even though it didn't burned. Cyclone and Cyril shared the other bunk bed, the bunks were shaded blue,purple and gray.

Terrador purred in delight. He was dreaming of standing on a mountain, with all the gems and rocks he could collect in the world. Then somebody shook him awake.
"Five more minutes." Terrador moaned.
"Terrador, its lunch time. Were already late." Haku said. Terrador jumped at the thought of food. Terrador and Haku were sharing their cabin with Jade, Shadow, and Volteer. The five dragons trotted toward the main lodge, where the bell rang, calling the campers for lunch. Terrador's belly growled at the smell of delouis soup. The dragons stomped into the building. Terrador's jaw dropped.
"This is lunch!? This is chaos! disaster! horrible misshap-" Volteer spat.
"We know." Shadow said. The room really was chaos. Jello smeared ther walls and juices puddles flooded the floor. Chips, berries and friut sludge scattered everywhere. The chairs and tables were broken in half and forks and knifes were snaped in half. Soda pop and choclate pudding stained the windows and spilled on the floor. And in the middle of the floor was Flare and the chef, covered in food sludge,bloodied and panting hard.

IAM NOT A MAN!!

"What happened?" Haku asked.
"Giant,monsters,,take all food." The Chef groaned. Flare got up slowly, revealing all the blood-oozed gashes on her side.
"I,,don't remember much. But we do need to get some food. Immiedeitley. I'll take care of our injuries. You need to go out and find some food. Your welcome to eat some of the food you catch, but bring enough for the rest of the week." Flare said.
"What about the food storages?" Terrador said.
"Check them too." Flare replied.

Terrador carefully checked the trap. He pulled out a rabbit fropm the cage. The rabbit struggled and kicked wildly.The rabbit kicked him in the face and Terrador huffed in suprise and let it go. He chased after the rabbit, but it slipped down the hole. Terrador used an earth bomb and the dirt and snow exploded, leaving a huge hole in its place and a suprised rabbit. Terrador pounced on it and killed it. He dragged it back to the fire where lots of other prey was being cooked and stored in the leather pouched to bring it back to camp. Volteer and Berry had just retured with a squirrel and a rat.
"Perfect." Amber added the new prey into the stove over the fire. Shadow and Cyclone retured with a mouthful of rasberry, garlic and wildberry leaves. When prepared, the leaves made a delious appitzer."Where did you find leaves at this time of year?"Ignitus wondered.
"We found a storage of them under the roots of a tree." Cyclone explained.
Soon the food was prepared and stored. Soon the dragons bought the ffod back to camp and ate a rather small meal.
"We have to preserve this food for the week. then well need tro catch a lot more for the rest of the winter." Flare explained the the groaing campers. Terrador and the others had gone to bed still hungry.

A high pithced howl made Ignitus jump and hit his head on the bunk.
"Owww,," Ignitus groaned. The sound woke Amber and Cyril too.
"What was that?" Cyril yawned.
No one repiled. Instead they scampered to the lodge, where the noise came from. Shadow, Volteer heard it too. They were also out to investigate.
"Why didn't any one else hear it?" Volteer wondered.
"Well, it has been a long day." Amber reasoned.
The dragons stumbled into the Mess Hall to find a big mess coming from the kitchen. Upon entering Shadow slipped on some grease and crashed into the mixing bowls, still full of cream.
"Aww. man." Shadow complained as Amber helped him clean the mess.
Ignitus walked over to the cupboards to find them empty.
"Those blasted animals stole the food again!" Ignitus cursed, kicking a empty bowl in anger. Cyril saw a footprint in the cream.
"With all the snow outside, i bet we could track em', teach em' a lesson and get the food back." Cyril suggsted.
"Lets do it!" Volteer growled. So the group off raging dragons stomped out of the building and tracked the food stealing monsters into a brewing blizzard.

Ignitus fell backwards in a pile of snow when a gust of snowy wind belw him backward.
"This blizzard is getting really bad. We should head back." Amber said. Everybody was cold and hungry, so they agreed. They walked in the deep snow, back tracking. But their footprints were covered in snow. An hour later they were still in the forest.
"Didn't we pass that fallen tree half an hour ago?" Volteer said.
"It sure looks familar." Cyril said.
The dragons looked around at the snow blanketed forest.
"Were lost." All of the dragons said at once. All of the sudden there was a howl and a huge, hairy beast came out, followed by sevral others. they had enourmus fangs and thick fur and had a stump on its back like a camel. They had tusks as sharp as a sword. Its paws were a big as dinner plates. they howled and charged.
Eveyr instinct told Volteer to run, but they were cornered. Amber and Ignitus breathed fire on the giant warthogs, but the blizzard wind blew it out. Volteer zapped them with eletricty. Soon the dragons used all their magic energy and the warthogs finnaly reached them. One of the warthogs tussled Cyril aside and roared at Ignitus. Ignitus clawed at the warthogs face. Then Volteer was pushed into a snow drift by a warthog. He jumped on its face and bit onto its ear. It howled and shaked him off, preparing to attack again. Amber clawed at its side, distracting it from its current prey. Volteer looked around to find Shadow cornered against a boulder, growling at its giant threatner. Volteer pounced on its shoulders and clawed deep into its back, leaving deep, bloody scars. The warthog shreiked and tried to buck him off, but Voltter dug his fangs into its shoulder and hung on stubbornly. Then the warthog's hoof hit a stone and Volteers grip loosened. the warthog bucked him off And Volteer flew into a sharp boulder with a loud thud. Everything went white with gray swirlling stars and Volteer passed out.

Sure. Whats the name of it?

Terrador searched the snow for tracks. A search party has been sent out to look for Cyril,Ignitus,Volteer,Shadow and Amber. the horn bellowed for the dragons to assemble. At the giant firepit Flare sat beside Cytril and Ignitus!
"You have a lot of explaining to do!" Flare snapped.
Berry looked angrily at the dragons.
"How could they just wander off like that?" She whispered to Terrador. Terrador was puzzled.
Shouldn't Berry be reilved that at least two of them returned safley?
"We,we found that the warthogs stole the food agin, we decided to follow them. They ambushed us. There was too many of them to fight. Voltter,Shadow and Amber were captured." Ignitus said, twitching to re-live the horrible memories.
"And I hope you learned a lesson. It was very foolish of you." Flare snarled. Ignitus and Cyril cowred under her glare. terrador sighed. Flare was very unforgiving and unsympatehtic. Sun had always tried to encourage them instead of scolding them too harshly. teerador felt a wave of sadness as he remebered the scene of a Suns death. Ignitus hung his head and he shook terribly, telling Terrador that he was hurting at the memory too.
But Suns death would always shake Ignitus the most. Ignitus was sectretly his son and he gave him up to keep him safe. terrador felt rage through him. Flare didn't have the right to punish them so hrashly, escpically when they were suffreing on their own.
"Be nice! You never knew our past, what we lost and learned! You can't punish us when we alreayd learned!" Terrador snapped. Flare whipped around and faced Terrador.
"Well you shouldn't dwell on the past. Whats sone is done." flare said harshly.
"How dare you say that! you never knew what it was like to lose the one you loved the most!" Cyril screeched.
"Well, you are a fool! You have a lot to learn! She was stupid to fall in love with you, you probaly deserved it!" Flare roared. Dead slince told her that she had gone way too far. Cyril's wings drooped and he shook terribly. He sobbed as tears rolled down his face, freezing once they reached the snow.
"Nothing was wrong about it, I'll never regret her. But you have no right, to shatter my hope." Cyril sobbed and ran way.
"Cyril." Flare whispered helplessly.
"You're a monster." Terrador growled before he raced after Cyril. EVerybody looked at Flare in disgust and walked away, forgetting about Shadwo,Amber and Volteer. terrador raced through the forest and found Cyril by a frozen dream. he was sobbing uncontrobally. He must have sensed Terradors presence.
"Leave me alone!" Cyril wailed.
Terrador crouched beside him.
"Now is the worst time for you to be alone." Terrador said.
"There can't be any witnesses." Cyril snapped.
"Witnesses?" Terrador echoed.
"My time is over. I have no futre. If dragoins will judge me for my love for Cindy, then I'll join her in the sky." Cyril murmered. Alarm shot through Terrador.
"But Cyril, you can't! We need you here! What about your family and friends?" Terrador said.
"They'll understand." Cyril said simply.
"No.You'll only cause more trouble. Even if you'll be with Cindy forever, you'll live in guilt foir eternity for abadoning the ones who love you and cause them grief. And you know that Flare is wrong. Dead wrong." Terrador encouraged. Cyril sighed.
"I guess you're right. But you don't know how much that hurt. Cindy could be sobbing now too." cyril siad painfully. Terrador wrapped his wing around him, even though he didn't ussaly comfort other dragons.
"Flare knows what damage she done. We'll all understand if it takes time for you to forgive her." Terrador said. When they got back to camp the young dragons orginzed a search party.
"You stay here, have some time to yourself and rest." Terrador said, patting Cyril on the shoulder before he trotted away. Terrador joined Cyclone,Jade,Berry and Haku to search for Shadow and the others.
"But Ignitus said the warthogs captured them." Haku pointed out.
"Then we follow them in their tracks." Cyclone said. he was right. The blizzard stop and the wind was still. Soon they found specks of dragon blood. Jade sniffed a puddle of blood.
"Its got Volteers scent all over it." Jade reprted.
The dragons found warthog tracks and followed them, prepared for the worst.

Volteer moaned as he woke up. Extreme pain filled his body and he tried to stand up, but flopped down onto the warm hay in failure.
Hay? Where would I find hay at this time of year? unless,, Volterr thought. then he stood up in alarm, ignoring the incredible sores. he trotted forward untill he banged into a wall.
"Ow." Volteer groaned. He got up to find himslef in a jail cell. he noticed that Shadow and Amber were awake.
"Your finnaly up. You took quite the beating from that warthog." Amber said. Volteer looked at his side to find a huge wound wrapped in cobwebs.
"Where are we?" Volteer squeaked, his voice barely of use.
"The warthogs captured us. " Shadow grolwed, hooking his claws and crouhing when they came by. They gave them fresh food and left. They left them a lot of it.. Volteer ate untill he felt that his stomach could explode. Amber and Shadow ate all they could too. Sunndenly very sleepy, Voltter plopped back into the hay and fell asleep. When he awoke something felt very diffrent. he could barley stand and it took most of his energy to walk around. he found a mirror and found that he was fat! his stomach bulged and dragged across the floor. His sides were as long as his wings. Amber and Shadow were awking and looked in horror at their weight.
"What happned to us!?" Amber wailed. Then Amber panted hard, as if wailing took all her energy. Then the warthogs opened their cell without them noticing and put them in the cart, the dragons too tired to fight back.
"How much of that spell did you put in the food?" One of the warthogs giggled.
"The enitre bottle." the other one responded, holdin up a spell bottle with a single red drop. they cackled eveily. Volteer reailzed what happned. They put a fattening spell in the food so they would grow enourmus and too tired to do anything so they would make a great meal! Even their tails had grown enourmusly fat. The cart rolled to a stop, but the dragons were too heavy to be thrashed about by the ungraceful stop. th warthogs liftedthem out of the cart and hung them over a ginat stew pot, steaming with lava. the warthog cut the rope and the plummeted toward the stew pot. Then a group of dragons tackled them to the side, knocking the breath out of Volteer. It was Jade, Cyclone, Berry, Haku, and Terrador.
"Drink this." Jade commanded and trushed a blue bottle nto Volteers mouth. Volteer gurgled the sweet, bitter liquid untill Jade yanked it from his grasp and handed it to Shadow and Amber. Volteer felt himslef shirking and with a pop he was his normal weight again. Sahdow and Amber were back to normal too.
The warthogs screeched in anger and charged.
You'll pay for making me embarrsingly fat!" Shadow roared at jumped on the warthog who put the spell in the food. He bit into its throat as pale green foam flooded out. The warthog bucked viosuly and squealed harshly, then he cloppsed, foam puffing rapidly from his throat. Shadow faced the warthogs threatingly, foam leaking from his mouth as if he had rabies.
"Get back!" He screeched. the warthoigs halted, wide eyes with fear. The dragons flew away into a tunnel. As soon as the dragons fled, the warthogs advanced again. Volteer relaized they were underground. he heard bats squeaking in the distnace. As they went higher and twisted through more long and cofusing tunnels, Volteer saw a large room ahead.
" I think we lost them." Cyclone said. But when they reached the room the warthogs had beaten them. More warthogs came the way the dragons came in, they were completly surronded.
"I guess you spoke too soon." Haku chuckled nervously. the warthogs advanced slowly, backing them into a corner. the warthogs howled and their eyes gleamed in truimph.
"Prepare to fly." Terrador said slowly.
"Where! Were trapped!" Berry snapped.
"NOW!" Terrador roared and shot an earth bomb at the roof. He shot more and more untill chunks of rock fell, crushing the warthogs. Volteer could see night sky above, and didn't hesitate to fly up. the dragons followed, except Terrador. Boulders continued to fall and dust gathered.
"Terrador! Get out of there!" Cyclone screamed. It was too late. The last of the boulders covered the wreakage, and a huge pile of snow buried the enitre scene. The freezing cold immideatley froze the surface.
"TERRADOR!!" Amber cried, her cry loud enough to shake the whole forest. She dived down, but Shadow stopped her.
"theres no way he could survive that crush. hes gone." Shadow said quitely. Amber sobbed and bired her head in his shoulder. Voltter couldn't belive it. Terrador was gone. Forver.

Volteers head spun with greif and disbelif. terrador, the brave, leader-like life long friend. was gone. Amber contiuned to sob in Shadows arms. then the ice shook, and started to crack. Green light shone inbetween the craks as the ice continued to break with loud snaps. then it sahttered into millons of pecies. Volteer dodged the flying boulder peices. Volteer looked back at the wrecakge. his jaw dropped. Terrador flew from the wrekafge, the cracasses of crushed warthogs below.
"Terrador! You're alive!" Jade cried.
"Of course Iam. Iam an earth dragon. the best dragon there can be." Terrador chuckled.
"Last time I checked, electricty dragons were the toughest." Volteer joked. terrador punched freindly. Everybody crowded around Terrador in delight, awing and wondering how he could have survived. the dragons landed since the air was too cold to fly on. they walked in the deep snow, but Haku had to hop since she was so short.
"SO how did you find us?" Volteer asked.
"We followed three warthogs intoi the tunnnel. We found the food too, but it was all squashed." Haku answered.
"Once we found they used the fat spell on you, we knew you would be too tired to escape, and thus we would get captured an you aten. So we went to the potion room and interrgated the gaurd untill he gave us the anitode. We destroyed the rest of the potions." Jade explained. Amber blushed in embarrsement and Volteers scales felt hot at the thought of being seen so enourmus and helpless.


Ignitus stared into a stream. it was the same stream Cyril tried to comide suicide at, untill Terrador found him. And the smae stream Cindy had been struck by lighting and Cyril had to throw her into as lake to save her. he looked into the water still flowing free. Cyril was still moping in the cabin, and Igntius couldn't take it anymore. Then the horn called fro a meeting. Ignitus ran as fast as he could through the snow. He couldn't belive his eyes. the search party was back, and they found Shadow, Amber and Volteer!
"Volteer!" Ignitus cried in delight.
"Well, you should thank Terrador! You should have seen him! He shot earthbombs at the roof and killed the rest of them, and then we escaped and we thought Terrador was dead, then he blasted through the ice, and he was okay! he was a hero!" Cyclone said rapidly, waving his paws around in hand gestures. Flare trotted by,a prouds expression on her face.
"I know. i saw the whole thing." Flare purred. She had to wait for the cries of suprise to die down.
"I went to look for you after the incindent, and then I found you. But decided not to show myslef." Flare said.
"WHAT!? We could have died and you didn't do anything!?" Amber screeched.
"I wanted you to learn how to care for yourselves. And i think you did learn that today." Flare reached for a medal. It was gold with a sliver and green stripes. She hung it over Terradors neck.
"I award you this medal for herosim and selflessness. For looking after your friends." Flare rumbled. the dragons cheered and crowded around Terrador to congratulate him. Terradors eyes shone with pride. The dragons talked and apoligies made untill everybody went to bed. the next morning the weather was finnaly clear enough for the cook and Flare to go to Warfang to get more food. A big supper was made when they retuned. Ignitus left the mess hall stomach warm and full. he looked up at the clear blue sky and the snow and bounded gleefully toward the stream.

I don't want to keep the fans waiting too long!

"WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" Cyclone squealed gleefully as the sled bounded down the slope. The dragons had travelled across the forest to go to the Dragon Winter Games. Mnay dragons came to compete in all kinds of winter sports. Some were for hathclings, some for teens and others adults. There was sledding,ice sculpting,snowball fights, flying races, treasure hunts, acrobatics,and catching floating objects in the air. After the awards were handed out for each event and category, there was a party with cake, hot choclate, and looking at the ice sculptures. The dragons from camp would represent Warfang in the games and Cyclone,Ignitus and Jade ran for the sledding competiton. They were at the practice slopes.
Ignitus felt the wind buffet through his scales and tried to close his wings so Jade could see behind him.
"Look out for the rock!" Jade cried.
"Ahh!" Cyclone grunted like a monkey in suprise. Before he could steer away the sled hit the jagged rock, flinging the suprised dragons in the air. Ignitus stumbled and summersaulted in the air before landing in a deep snow-drift. Cyclone and Jade shook the snow off them and climbed out while Ignitus sunk in the deep snow.
"Help! Help!" Ignitus cried, faling his paws as if he was swimming. Jade and Cyclone pulled him out while Torent trotted up to them.
Torent was their competior, same age and event. he was a black and white dragon with a bad attitude and a unusaul britsh accent.
"Oh look, its the brainless idiots section." Torent scoffed. Igniitus stood up and faced Torent bravly.
"What do want?" Ignitus said warningly.
"Oh,I just dropped by to ask how my little pets were doing." Toret laughed.
"WHtas that supposed to mean!" Cyclone snapped, trying to charge. Jade held him back with a wing.
"Oh, I'v been sleding down these hills for years! What bafoons could beat us without humilating themsleves?" He scoffed. he pushed Ignitus back into the snow drift and padded by Jade.
"Jade, you don't deserve to be on this team of losers. Come join my team. I'll make it extra specail.." Torent rumbled gently. Tornet obuiosly had a crush on Jade. He flirted with her and tried to get her alone every chance he could. But thankfully, Jade didn't have a taste in bullies.
"No thanks Tornet. I'd rather lose disastorusly then join your team." Jade snorted in disgust.
"Fine. Play hard to get. Just let me know of you change your mind." Tornet purred, and bumped into Cyclone on purpose before leaving, sending him faling. Ignitus managed to climb back out of the snow drift.
"What a jerk." he growled.

cool chapter

Cyril twirled through the air, catching the dead leaf. He flipped upside down to catch the last leaf just as the timer ran out.
"Good job Cyril!" Flare said. Cyril was entered in the object catching contest, this year the object was dead leaves. Berry was his partner and Flare was their coach. The objective of the event was to catch all the dead leaves before the timer ran out.
"What about me?" Berry said.
"Well, if you weren't saitting there day-dreaming most of the time," Flare replied. Berry slouched as the three gathered at the hall for lunch. Cyril ordered a ham and cheese sandwhich, hot choclate, and a bag of gummy grublins, a type of candy, each indivaul candy shaped like a grublin and one of six colors, red,orange,green,blue,yellow or pink. Cyril joined his freinds at the table over-looking the mountain.
"How did training go?" Cyril asked casually.
"Good." Shadow replied while chewing on a handful of gummy grublins.
"Horrible. Torent was acting up again." Ignitus growled.
"Don't let him get to you. He's just looking for a little competiton." Amber advised, swirling her spaggetii around her fork.
"Well you never met him. hes such a jerk." Cyclone snarled.
Terrador,Shadow and Amber were on the snowball fight event.
Haku and Volteer were in the flying event. The dragons chattered casullay as they chewed on their lunch while Torent and his friends walked up.
"While, if it isn't the loser table." Torent scoffed. His friends laughed ugly-like.
Ambers eyes narrowed like a spider prepared to strike.
"This must be the fat,gooey excuse for a dragon." Amber hissed.
"Ohhhhhh!" The dragons oohed and high-fived.
"Well, thats pretty rude for a damsel in distress." Torent snapped.
This is going to get ugly. Cyril thought. Torent didn't know of Ambers swift and brutal temper.
"Whats that supposed to mean!?" Amber growled.
"Well, she-dragons never played in the games since ten years ago. But please! She-dragons are only useful for reproducing and caring for chicks." Tornet said slowly and coldly. That did it. That snapped the line for Amber.
"I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S WORTHLESS!" She screeched. She lunged at Torent. SHe punched his face repeatdley and clawed her back claws rapidly into his stomach.
"Get off,maid!" He yelled. This only made Amber angrier and she bit into his neck. Torent screamed. Terrador dragged her off before she could do anymore damage.
"Let me go! I'll beat him into a puddle!" Amber screamed, trying to lunge again, but Cyclone and Terrador held her back. Torent had taken quite a beating. His throat puffed where it was bitten and his balck eye bled and swollen. His stomach bled. The nurses dragged him off as he yelled.
"Assualt! Assualt! She should be disquailfied!" Torent screeched.
"AMBER!" Flare shouted.
"You foolish dragon! If he doesn't heal before the games start, we'll all be disquailfied!" Flare snapped.
"Didn't you hear what he said! He-" Flare inturpted before she could finsih.
"I heard what he said. Iam against dragons like him as much as you, but voilence is not the answer. And you just gave him what he wanted. Now that you attacked him, you'll get a penalty at your event." Flare said.
"I did?" Amber squeaked.
"Yes. I can't belive you put us at a disadvatnage like that!" Terrador snapped before he stomped away,fuming
"Terrador." Amber said, trying to follow. But Flare held her back.
"Go rest, all of you. Take the rest of the day off. And stay out of trouble." Flare growled firmly.

Oh,the joys of popular and unignored stories! thank you all for reading it!

Ignitus stomach wrenched voilntly as he looked down. Two weeks had passed since Amber snapped and attacked Torent. His wounds had compeltly healed, thank goodness. If his wounds didn;t heal, even if all of them did ecept one, they would be disqualified. he thanked that Terrador was able to pull her off in time. They stood at the starting line of the sleding compitetion. they were on the highest mountain in the valley. The wind was so strong that Ignitus had to dig his claws into the stone to keep from falling off. The mountain was so high that he could see the enitre forest, even though the belt of trees streched for hundreds of miles. To top it all off, the snow was very deep and the slope was very steep. If they weren't careful they would get launched right off the moutain. He gulped as he crouched toward the ledge where his teammates and sled was parked. Torent and his freinds, Chip and Bill, were right beside them. The three other teams were perched to the left of Torents team.
"Don't let the moutain discourage you. The slope isn't as bad as it looks. Remeber your training and you'll do fine." Flare encouraged. Her words did not convince Ignitus, but there was no backing out now.
"START!" The refree barked. The sleds lauched off the ledge, excpet Ignitus,Cyclone and Jade. Because of AMber, they all got a ten second penalty.
Ignitus heart sank as the dragons got further and further ahead as Flare counted slowly. there were mere dots in the distance when Flare barked the order to go.
The wind pulled Ignitus's face back and it looked like he had an overdose of plastic surgery.
"Crouch down! We'll gain more speed and we can catch up!" Jade ordered. The dragons did as they were told, even though it was a risky move. there inexperince made the move dangerous, for with more speed they had less time to swerve out of an obstacles way. But it worked. Cyclone had manged to steer them safley out of harms way and soon they caught up with the other teams. Torent bumped his sled into theirs. Cyclone grolwed and tried to do the same, but another sled bumped into their other side. Ignitus looked around to find the two sleds closing in on them. The dragons laughed in mockery.Ignitus snarled in disgust. It was a low move, but unfortantly, not against the rules. The sleds kept bumbing itno theirs, catching them unbalanced every time. Soon the action would make them flip. Then Ignitus got an idea.
"When they strike, sit up and open your wings. Then we'll plummet backward and they'll run into eachother." Ignitus whispered to his teammates, so Torent wouldn't hear. Then Tonret striked agin, this time super fast. Ignitus opened his wings and the sled brake backward, Tonrets sled missing them by a inch. the sled bumped into the other one, the force of the impact sending the sled flipping in the air. the dragons crashed in a snowdirft.
They growled as Torent passed by. Jade,Cyclone and Ignitus crouched again and they passed Torent with ease. But Torent caught up. His eyes were full of anger,Ignitus knew he was planning something. A roar made Ignitus look backward. ignitus's jaw dropped. A huge avalance caught up with them. torent took advantage of the distraction and smacked into them, but Cyclone was ready. he steered toward them, so the sleds steered right, toward a ice cave.
"Pull left! Pull left!" Jade shriked. it was too late. the two sleds crashed into the ice cave, tha valance blocking the entrance,and the only light. The dragons tumbled downward,deep into the cave. Ignitus goraned adn got up, shaking the snow of of him. he looked aorund the relazie their problem.
" Were trapped." Cyclone and Chip said at the same time.

cool chapter

Ignitus felt fear pulse through him. he couldn't hear anything on the surface, not even the sounds of the sleds passing by. Ignitus could feel Jades fustration, and he understood. Now she was trapped in a ice cave with no other dragoness's and a,bossy, sexist dragon who had a crush on her. ignitus felt around for a stick. He found one, but it was cold and damp. he dragged it out form the small snow pile and puffed steam on it to dry. He then breathed flame on it and the light let them see their surrondings. The avalance had blocked out the entrance,and it was so cold the blocking snow already began to freeze. The worse part that the snow was so solid,that no earth dragon couldn't blast their way out of this mess. From the outside, maybe, but it would take hours, or even days, for them to find them. Ignitus realized with a chill that they might not find them at all. And the most horrible part, that the snow might be so heavy, that the caves celing might cloppse on top of them. their chances of survival were very slim.
"Well, don't just stand there, we got to find a way out!" Tornet growled, leading them into a dark tunnel. ignitus followed, carrying the torch in his mouth. He needed all four paws to walk if he weren't going to slip on ice. He glanced at Cyclone to see if he looked mad, but for the first time ever Ignitus saw fear express on his face.But if Ignitus knew Cyclone at all, he would soon try to take over. Ignitus would try to lead himslef, for he did not trust Torent, but he had no ideas, so they group wandered deeper into what probaly is their place of death.


Terrador couldn't stand it. the avalance destroyed everything. the obstacle course, the mess hall, the section of the forest. Most of the dragons weeped in loss of the widley celebrated Dragon Game grounds. but that what wasn't bothered Terrador. It was that his freinds, were still out there, and nobody would do a darn thing about it.
"But they could be dying!" Terrador protested.
"W ehave more problems then them right now. We have to care for the injured. We'll send a search party tonight." Flare promised.
"TONIGHT! But it might be too late by then! We have to find them NOW!" Terrador cried, fustrated.
"Iam sorry, Terrador. But its the best we can do." Flare said walking away to treat a young dragon with a broken wing. terrador pounded a patch of ice in anger, which, with him being an earth dragon, smashed into pecies. terrador paced, trying to make th best of it. He missed Sun, he wouldn't have hesitated to look for the young ones. But Flare just wouldn't take any risks, even if it meant life or death.
Shes a coward that way. Terrador thought darkly.

Volteer held the weeping hatchlings under his wing.
"What about our mother?!" The ice and smallest of the two, wailed. Volteer wrapped his tail around her.
"Shes just hurt. She'll be fine." Volteer soothed. The hatchlings mother had been in the game, and got hurt in the avalance. It wasn't looking good fro her, but Volteer couldn;t let them see their mothers conditon.
"No! I want my mother!" The fire hatchling whimpered. he escaped Volteers grasp and ran toward his mother. Volteer caught him before he could reach her.
"Shes too tired for a visit." Volteer reasoned leading them away. the hatchling wailed and tried to get free, But Volteer held him tight.His heart ached for them, he would have to distract them to keep them fron seeing their injured mother. He dropped him in front if his sister.
"Let me ask you a question. What is your favroiute story?" Volteer asked, a idea forming in his head.
"Rapunzel!" The hatrchlings squeaked at the same time.
" Okay." Volteer said, dissapreaing behind a small snow dirft. the hatchlings looked around confused, then they found Volteer at the top, whering a long makeshift,long snow wig.
He let down the snow hair.
"Climb up, my prince." He said in a high pitch voice." Then Volteer attached the wig to the snowdrift and climbed down.
"Iam coming!" he said in a deep voice, pretening to be the prince. He climbed the wig. He climbed back up the snowdrift.
"Hey! your pulling too hard! Ahh! Ahh! Ahhhhh!!" Volteer squealed. he purposefully fell down the slope and slapped the snow man pretending to be the prince. The chicks laughed, rolling on the ground. Volteer continued making fun of fairy tales, the chicks enjoying the show. Volteer felt better lighting their misery. After an hour their mother limped toward them with a paw wrapped in bandages.
"hello,little ones." SHe rumbled.
"Mother!" the hatchlings cried, they leaped on her shoulders.
"Volteer was really funny! Can he come and babysit us?" The red one begged.
"No little one. Hes here on a program." The dragon purred. She herded her hatchlings away, mouthing thank you as she passed by Volteer.
Terrador passed by just then ,grumbling to himself.
"WHats worng, Terrador?" Volteer asked.
"Its that,stupid Flare! She knows are freinds are out there, but she won't do anything about it!" Terrador snapped. Volteer was suprised by his anger, but he was upset too. But he was too busy helping out to think about it.
"Well, you should stop complaining. We still got work to do." Volteer said,a little angry at Terradors complaining.
"But who knows whta could have happened top them! I thought you cared!" Terrador scoffed.
"Of course I do! But its too dangerous to go out. This avalance might trigger another. And theres lots of injured, and its going to be nightfall soon. We need as many dragons here to help out." Volteer growled.

sweet chapters

Ignitus grunted as he climbed up the ice.
"Here, Jade. This slope looks pretty steep. Let me help you." Torent said.
"I can climb it myslef!" Jade snapped. She jumped up, scraping her claws into the ice. She grabbed a frozen root and hauled herself at the top. Torent tried to follow her example. But his claws slipped on the ice.
"Are you sure you don't need any help?" Jade smirked.
"Iam fine." Torent moaned. But Ignitus had to help him up anyway. The dragons looked up. Light shone though the roof.
"Were at the surface! I think." Cyclone gussed. Ignitus jumped onto a frost frozen tree and looked out. The frozen hole only led to another ice cave. But Ignitus spotted a few cracks in the ice. He breathed fire on the ice. it slowly melted, and it creaked terribly before it broke. Torent jumpe back to avoid a chunck of ice.
"Watch it!" torent hissed.
"I think were getting closer to the surface, come on." ignitus repleid, jumping up into the ice cave. torent scoffed, but followed anyway. Ignitus looked around as his freinds joined him in the higher level. A snow patch made up a majority of the wall. It was suprisingly warm and the ice was metling. Ignitus walked over to the snow and dug a tunnel through it. the snow was soft and the makeshift tunnel cloappsed in no time.
" We can't stay here long. If the ice keeps melting, we might drown." Cyclone warned.
"I kind of figured that." Chip scoffed. Jade looked through the ice wall.
"But it might be our only way out." Jade said. She blasted an earth bomb at the wall. The ice exploded and a pool of water flowed up into the cave.
"WHat did you do that for!?" Bill screeched.
Ignitus wanted to scream his fear. He hated water, with him being a fire dragon. But he rushed to her side and looked at the hole. He looked up the hole. He saw sunshine though.
"Jade. keep firing!" ignitus barked.
'Are you crazy! We'll get killed!" Torent yelled.
"Well, the damage had been done, we should try something!" Cyclone argued. Jade fired again, the water flooding the room even faster. With each earth bomb, the more cold water melted the rest of the room and the roar of rushing water filled Ignitus ears. Finnaly the ice creaked and cloppsed and Ignitus saw blue sky ahead.
"Theres the surface! Go!" Ignitus ordered. he flew into the hole, jumping and fighting the current. he grabbed an ice boulder and clung to it, panting hard. the surface, eas still far, but the current was strong. How could he ever reaah the surface? Cyclone had caught up with him and crouched by his side.
"What are you waiting for, were running out of time!" Cyclone barked. Ignitus looked to see the ice rock was crumbling. Before he knew it Cyclone hauled him forward and into the freezing water.
Ignitus gasped at the cold water and leaped forward, trying the best he could to keep moving forward. a huge wave washed over him, sending Ignitus backward. He clung to the ice wall, but it crumbled under his sharp claws.
Ignitus paddled forward, trying to reach the surface. But another wave washed him back into the ice cave. the water was leg deep now.
"Any ideas now, you stupid moron?" Torent hissed fuirously.

it was a nice escape plan

Cyril ran through the melting snow. the tempature had turned quite pleasent as the sun set. Terrador had gathered Cyril, Haku and Berry to look for their lost freinds, since Flare refused to do anything about it untill nightfall.
"In this weather, iam pretty sure they wont freeze." Berry commented. Cyril nodded in agreement. But they were still in danger. Cyril thought he heard rushing water ahead.
"Did you hear that?" Haku said, holding her wing up to her ear.
"Why would there be rushing water in the dead of winter?" Terrador wondered, running ahead. Cyril hurried to catch up, the sound of water getting louder. Cyrils jaw dropped. A melting ice cave stood before them. the water flooded the cave, and Ignitus and the others stood in the cave.
" Terrador! Cyril!" Ignitus cried in delight.
"No time for joyus reinouns, just get us out of here!" Torent screamed. But even his loud wailing cracked the ice. Cyril saw that the roff was close to cloppsing.
"Back up and get high!" Cyril barked. The trapped dragons backed out of veiw. Cyril breathed carefully on the water. Slowly, it started to freeze. Cyril panted hard once it was solid. Terrador breathed on the ice untill ferns and vines covered the ice.
"Now try climbing up!" Terrador ordered.
"And hurry, that ice won't be frozen for long!" Cyril added. One by one the dragons climbed up and were finnaly on the surface, safe and sound. The last dragon still in the cave was Torent. he climbed cautoisly, but the ice was melting rapidly. Then he hit a weak spot and the ice cracked and the water flushed him back in.
"Freeze the water again, Cyril!" Jade commanded.
"I can't, freezing it once took all my breath." Cyril sighed. Jade shook her head and dived back in before anyone could stop her. Anxoius mintues passe by, and to everybodys amazement, she came back up five mintues later, hauling the limp Torent. Just then the cave cloppsed with a terrible creak and Torent vomited up a gallon of water.
"Thanks." torent gasped.
"Now Iam afraid we should be getting back." Cyril said. EVerybody nodded and went back to the ruins of the messhall, where Flare,and the rest of them, would be waiting.

saved in the nick of time

No suprises came after the rescue. Flare scolded them, but she was impressed with Terradors bravery and leadership,once again.
"Iam gonna' have to keep a better eye on you!" Flare laughed.
SInce the avalance destoryed everything before the games were finshed, the judges decided it would be impossible to choose the winners, so they cancelled the games overall. Nobody won. Torent was outraged.

"But,but its not fair! I would have won even without that stupid avalance!" he screamed at anybody who would listen. Chip and Bill glared at him for saying that 'he' would win instead of 'we'. And they all learned a lesson about teamwork, and Torent learned that she-dragons were independent and just as equal as boy dragons.
the campers flew home, and Cyril was happy to be back at camp, sheltered by trees instead of out in the open on the moutain side, at risk of avalances. And to be away from tat stupid Torent. Cyril wouldn't go to the dragon games again even if his life depened on it.

Flare suggested they all play a game of capture the flag in celebration, but everybody was too tired. Instead they had a feast in the mess hall, chattering about the lastest toys, or what they wanted for chritsmas. At the metion of the winter hoilday, Cyril went into deep thought. It was true, chritsmas was coming up fast. It was only two weeks away. He glanced at Flare and saw a mischvoius look on her face. SH emust be planning something. Cyrils thoughts were intruppted by Volteers joyful cry.
"Look everybody! its snowing!"
Everybody zoomed outside with Flare and the chef close behind.
"Sure, too tired for capture the flag, but not for snow." She joked, the cook snikering in agreement. Cyril was met by a flurry of snow balls.
"Hey!" He protested, pouncing on Volteer, the thower of the snowballs. they rolled down the slope and into a snow drift. Volteers snout was covered in snow. Cyril laughed untilll Volteer threw snow at him. The drgaons wrestled untill they heard a mischevoius battle cry.
"Look out below!!" Amber sqeauled. Everybody was caught in a giant snowball,sweeping up Cyril and Volteer with it. It grew bigger and bigger as Cyrils head buzzedwhile the snow enclosing him buried him more and more. Then the snowball exploded and the dragons sat in the snow, all resting a amount of snow on their mussles. the yound dragons exploded into a fit of laughter.

Okay, times up! Man, Iam never opening another contest again, that was BORING!

Volteer charged toward the mess hall. Flare had called another meeting. but for Christmas hoildays, they were going to Roleau, home of the biggest toy factory in the country. they would stay in the Elemantal Inn, a fancy hotel with unique pools and activites where each element of dragon would feel at home. Most of the dragons were gathered by the table, their stuff scattered around them.
"Wheres Jade?" Volteer wondered.
"Right here." A voice called, making all the other dragons turn around. Jade, along with Amber and Haku, came through the doors.
"Jade couldn't find her mineral spa perfume, so we helped her look for it." Haku explained.
"EVen though it smells like wet dog." Amber said, plugging her nose. Jade through her a dirty look, even though Terrador seemed to enjoy the smell.
Five minutes later the dragons flew through the gray coulds, carrying their bags.

Thats okay. Its just a contest.

Terrador looked around in awe. they made it to Roleau, and it was very nice. Snow fell down gently and coated the pine trees. Chritsmas lights and blue,green,red,pink,purple and orange ornaments decorated the stores. A giant christmas tree stood tall in the middle of main street,decorated with bright lights and all types of ornaments. Dragons were verywhere, carrying shopping bags and rushing in and out of stores. Terrador,Cyclone, and Amber had decided to go chritsmas shopping after they checked in at the hotel. And to look around town. Terrador admired a green see through ornament hanging on the tree that had a vine pattern on it. Terrador looked up and spotted a yellow dragoness. Three small hatchlings,blue,red and pink,trotted at her heels, yapping excitedly. The dragoness turned around and her and Terrador exchagned glances. they stared at eachother curiously, untill Terrador waved his paw in hello. The dragoness waved back and dissapered into a candy store, followed by the restless hatchlings.
Terrador jumped when Cyclone's whistle broke the slience.
"Whoa, who was that bue-tiful lady!" Cyclone said.
"I don't know. Maybe shes from around here." Terrador guessed.
"Well, I hope she is. Then I have a better chance of seeing her again, maybe seducing her with my Cyclone charm." Cyclone chuckled, flashing a brillant white smile, in the deriction she dissapeared.
"You really think dragoness's are that easy to pick up? You boys amaze me." Amber grunted in disgust.
"Amaze you, huh? I knew someone would notice my charm." Cyclone said, streching a wing over Amber.
"Ugh! Get away from me, creep!" Amber hissed, stomping away. Cyclones face fell.
"I didn't mean to make her mad." Cyclone said, staring at the ground.
"Oh well. Just apligize. Besieds, shes right. Dragoness's are just as strong as us." Terrador pointed out.
Cyclone grunted, following Amber into a store with Terrador close behind.

Soon night fell, and the three dragons were back at the hotel. Amber forgave Cyclone after a while. And thankfully, Cyclone treated her better,and Terrador reailzed that Cyclone wa sjut testing his 'charm' on Amber in the afternoon, so he wasn't trying to flirt with two dragoness's at once.
Terrador chatted with Ignitus,Volterr and Cyril while they walked into the dining room. Smoke greeted there nostrils and spilled ingriedents littered the floor.
"WHat happened?" Cyril coughed.
"Oh, I spilled the supper and the oven is burning. This kitchen isn't what Iam used too. Supper will have to be delayed." the cook sighed.
"So were going to town hall to wait for supper. Go get the others, young ones."Amber added. Before Terrador could ask what they were going theyre for, AMber chased them out. They spilt up in diffrent derictions toward each floor. Terrador still wondering what would be happening at Town hall.
