i've tried it. why did the designers put a random portal only available with the swimming glitch?

hmm...maby there was gonna be more of the level, but the designers took desided to take it off and forgot to take off the portal?

very good idea. it kinda looks like a dino mines boss. a bit like the one in spooky swamp.

What it was, is that Insomniac Games decided to scrap the boss level at the last minute (To make in time for the deadline for the game release or something like that) and the egg that was there was moved to the Agent 9 level. I know coz someone from another forum wrote to Insomniac Games about that and that's the reply the got

I was just swimming around randomly and found the portal. It's weird xD
But when I exited the area, (not with the start menu) I continuously fell off of an invisible cliff, it seems.

yeah i did that. luckily i could pause and exit the level before i lost all my lives.

I realy hate that (i never seen that portal anywhere around the level like they just put up a random area to bug you)

They did not put it there to bug us, like pyro girl said, insomniac were gonna put that portal in the game as a boss level, but they took the level out at the last minuite. that is why there are 2 eggs in agent 9's part of the level.

Oh...................

...Or maybe the 2 eggs were there in the first place and they found by the time they'd finished the game they had 151 eggs and they found it would be more logical to have 150, so had to quickly decide which one they took out.

Either way, it would be cool if we knew what the boss would've been like.

yeah. i probably be a big dinosaur. cos the rest of the enemies are.

Yeah that would be cool the list of mini bosses i found were
1: double dragon boss (fireworks factory)
2: sleepy head (spookie swamp)

What about Bluto and the Sparx World bosses?

Yeah I wish they put in the boss, that would be so AWESOME!!!! lol Its really annoying when you get an egg that it says you already have it in the Agent 9 level, that would be so cool!!!!!!!!

i didn't know that it says you already have this egg in th agent 9 level. it didn't with me. wierd.

It's a random glitch. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. It happened to me first time. Don't worry about it, you still get the egg.

I've seen it but I can't do it.I do the swim in air glitch,go to the area with the swirl portal,not there!

i can't swim in the air its so annoying!

I've found that you have to pause the game as soon as you feel the controls vibrate.

Also, it's handy to have the 99 lives code handy so you don't completely die.

I think it was a level that they designed and didn't want to put into the game. I think they left the portal there to see how many players will actually find it.

They may have just forgotten to delete the data for the arena and portal.It happens all the time in games,where they accidentally leave cut music,levels,voice-clips etc. within the game's data.The talented few can view this stuff by snooping through the specified game's ISO with the tools that be.

Or, like me, go around in circles hundreds of times until you get 99 lives.

And you can just exit the level, y'know.
