And it wasn’t that bad.
I’ve had the game for over 20 years and just never stuck with it all the way before. It did crash 3 times, but I learned to keep saving after every dragonfly or two just incase. The frequent slowdown can be annoying but I got used to it, and the game is never hard enough for it to be a massive issue. I’ve got it on PS2 but am curious to try the GC version as it’s supposedly runs better. We all know why the game turned out broken and unfinished, but I think if you can forgive its issues and understand why it is the way it is, it’s an enjoyable Spyro game. The worlds still looks pretty stunning and the music is solid. My faves are Dragon Realms, Oasis Speedway and the Thieves Den platform maze music with the haunting vocals (the last line sounds like “I don’t know where we’re going”)
Who else has finished EtD? what do you like about it?

yeah, i honestly don't think EtD is that horrible. some of the minigames are annoying and the levels are too long, but the environments look very pretty! i also know it's a bit of an unpopular opinion, but i find the glitchiness endearing; it feels like every playthrough is personalized almost, because you can get very different glitches each time. and while i don't prefer the OST to the PS1 games', i still think it's nice.
also more people need to watch the documentary about the game by youtube user mr. fo1! they interviewed some of the game devs and a couple of the producers as well. apparently one of the higher ups tried to fight an employee because he thought he was insulting his wife. ted price(?) attended barbecues that they had almost every weekend. it's a trip!

My biggest take is that Enter the Dragonfly is not the worst Spyro game like some people say, because of the glitchiness. Maybe it's just a trend that I don't think most glitches are a big of a deal. If it locks you out of completion with no fix, that's a problem, but like idk if things are a little scuffed or it crashes, I'm completely fine with it. I play elder scrolls skyrim on console, these things are no stranger to me
Honey marsh is one of my favorite levels in spyro history I also think the models are some of the best translation of the PS1 designs into the next generation, Spyro's model is just really good
