If you were to play ONE version of the original three games from now on, would it be the ones on PS1, or the Reignited Trilogy?

By "quality of life changes," I assume you mean the more satisfying 117% ending cutscene in Reignited?

I just don't know why they didn't patch the game beyond that first one that came out four months after the game came out. They could have fixed that bit where Ba'ah didn't hatch with the sheep costume on, at the very least. There's also the fact that Sgt Byrd's cutscene before entering his level in Molten Crater is completely missing!

How come the Crash N. Sane Trilogy got more patches than Spyro?

Spyro 1 is a tossup but I'd probably pick the original due to nitpicks I have with Reignited Spyro 1, but I'd pick the originals for 2 and 3 any day. Sure, they have QOL things that are great, but my problems with Reignited Spyro 2 and 3 override any of that. I don't like the vast majority of the VA for the NPCs in Reignited 2 and 3, and Spyro 3 in Reignited is buggy as hell. The skateboarding physics and collision in SRT S3 in particular are atrocious, and pre-patch Farley was a ****ing disaster. Spike doesn't look like a dope in the original and is actually still intimidating! Buzz is actually springy in the original unlike Reignited! The Sorceress (and all the bosses in the original Spyro 2 and 3, now that I'm thinking about it) don't have janky-looking animation in the original! The originals don't have the will-be-dated-in-a-decade flossing dance! While the cowleks in the originals have their problems, they're 10X worse in Reignited! Plus in the originals, the music's actually all there! No chopping off the beginning and endings of songs to make them unnaturally loop! The originals don't have Unreal Engine physics BS either.

Also two of my favorite levels in the Spyro trilogy, Twilight Harbor and Cloud Spires, were treated like **** in Reignited.

Reignited is a great game, but yeah, it has problems.

Just look at the fight. The Sorceress has virtually no frames of turning animation, so when she turns it's like she has to automatically turn towards Spyro and it's so unnatural looking. All the bosses in Spyro 2 and 3 in Reignited do this.

Also the camera is focused on the wrong character in the UFO section of the Sorceress's boss fight. It should be focusing on Spyro, not the Sorceress. Whoever at Sanzaru thought that needed to be changed is an idiot.

ps1 because i have the most memories of those versions.

i think both reignited and the original versions of the games provide enjoyable experiences. slightly different, but still pleasant.

At least for the Reignited Spyro 3, we have the original music where it's supposed to be, because on my version of the PS1 Spyro 3, the Sorceress boss fight is the Lost Fleet theme, and it's like, whut?

When I was a kid, for several years, I owned and played the original black label version of Spyro 3 all the time, not knowing about the Greatest Hits version having different tracks.

hmm i don't recall which version of the ps1 spyro 3 i have.

all i know is that when i played the ps3 version from the online store, it had the wrong music. i'm a bit afraid to use the disc because it's so old now. but there's various ways to play it without a disc.

The PS3 version is based on the original black label version.

the Reignited Trilogy, Ps1 is many memories but the Reignited Trilogy is remade of Original, like new desgin of red dress fairy and fauns from Fractured Hills (better accents to Ps1 verison, to me)
