I got Switch for Christmas and finished the game a while ago but I was wondering about the Mushroom River level. In the level intro Spyro and Stealt Elf help Gill Grunt up, but when the level starts, Eruptor jumps out of nowhere and Gill Grunt is never seen again. What?

I think the animations team made the cutscene but for some reason Gill Grunt was replaced by Eruptor as the level's storyteller. Maybe Activision and Netflix wanted more screen time for Eruptor because of Skylanders Academy promotion? Trigger Happy got to be a storyteller, why not Gill Grunt?

(Sorry if this has been asked before, but I only recenty played it and haven't playd other than first 10 levels)

Possibly, we don't really know. Eruptor is the more popular one, regardless of how badly TFB handled him in Imaginators, and Gill Grunt might not have an ingame model that works outside of cutscenes because the game was rushed.

Actually, Gill Grunt does have a Storyteller in-game model which is used at least in the Water Elemental Realm.

Guess Eruptor replacing him in Mushroom River was some kind of last minute decision.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, I've got nothing in that case.

it would be unfair to have gill god helping you he would solo the entire lvl with his 6 repose form

I prefer Gill Grunt over Imaginators Eruptor any day... ugh...
