I’ve noticed a trend lately where everyone hates on Agent 9 from Spyro Year of the Dragon and I honestly need to get something off my chest about that. Are his levels difficult and sometimes not done as well as they could have been? Yes. Does that make him a bad character? No. I honestly think he’s one of the better developed newer playable characters in the game. (I like Sgt. Byrd but there’s some serious plot gaps there.) His voice is unique and fun and goes well with his personality and his design matches the goofy personality as well. Hate on the levels not the character.

I personally don't mind the character, he's fun, and whacky, and it's also the same voice actor, Tom Kenny, he also voices the Professor, and Spyro of course, so it goes to show how much of a good voice actor he is.

It's just the way he controls when you're in combat is when it becomes annoying, when you're trying to dodge enemies fire, and bombs, whilst trying to fight back at the same time, it's very awkward.

I just didn't like Agent 9. He was just too over the top for my liking.

I like to see his gameplay as a precursor to the R&C series., being developed by the same companies and all.
