You should get a Dark, Fire and Undead Sensei to get access to all the Elemental Realms. If you're into creating your own Imaginators, you may also want to focus your future purchases around ensuring you get a Bazooker, Bowslinger and Sentinel to unlock all of their powers.

Ergo, you're probably looking at the following:
FLARE WOLF (Fire Bazooker Sensei)
HOODSICKLE (Dark Sentinel Sensei)
WOLFGANG (Undead Bowslinger Sensei)

Beyond that, if you're just asking which characters are fun?

I <3 Chopscotch. Tidepool is bae (ugh, I promised myself I'd never say that... but it's true). Kaos is a lot of fun. Tae Kwon Crow and Chain Reaction are both pretty great too.

Oh yeah, definitely get Chain Reaction. I forgot about him but he's the best Sensei imo. He's VERY OP and fun.

I would also recommend Tidepool. I almost forgot what a fun character felt like until I got her. Never ceases to disappoint me.
But I would recommend getting a Fire and Dark Sensei. (More specifically the ones McMurderPaws mentioned)

I can recommend any of the Dark and Fire Senseis either way.
