It starts with the events of superchargers, in a past where Kaos was actually threatening and the characters had different weapons. after the darkness got sealed away, Kaos took a hiatus. The defeat of the darkness sealed away the dark and light elements, effectively trapping Astroblast and Nightfall.
Then the events of Academy occur, where spyro joins the skylanders and Kaos learns of the core of light. After episode 4, the doom raiders abandon Broccoli Guy after Wolfgang leaves him with a severe head injury. This makes Broccoli Guy into the tolerable dude we know today.
Then SSA, Giants, and SWAP Force occur normally. Kaos and Glumshanks manage to get their lower bodies back, and then IMMEDIATELY go to buy a ****-ton of TNT. When TT occurs, Kaos blows up cloudcracker to free the doom raiders (who he remembers from academy events), accidentally releasing the light and dark elemental beings as well- this effectively brings back Nightfall and Astroblast, leading to some nice emotional moments.
Imaginators occurs 2 years after TT, where Eon hand picks 10 villains to reform. Luminous is filled with jealousy, and forms the After-Raiders: a group with Dreamcatcher, CPJ, Gulper, Luminous, Nightshade, Sheep Creep, and Bomb Shell. The After-Raiders focus less on artifact theft, and more on hostile takeovers.
Currently: the skylanders are in a weird limbo state, and Cynder just showed up AGAIN to make these two tourists leave the floating consumerism allegory alone
