The official Skylanders twitter account has revealed their "gift": 12 Day of Chirps. Each day they will post a chirp of a custom Imaginator that can be transferred to the Imaginators app. From there you can use the app to figure out the correct parts, colors and sizes to recreate them in the game.

As far as I can tell, only the look has custom changes. It has all defaults for personality.

As some have guessed, they're doing a "12 Days of Christmas" theme, so first partridge, then turtle dove, and so on...

It's just going to be a music video for Skylander Boy and Girl's Imaginator Rap

I don't expect an update. Probably a christmas song or sketch.

Do they release holiday messages every year? I don't use twitter often and just saw that post after it was retweeted from a Skylander news site I started following a few months ago.

They've made little Christmas videos in the past.

Trap Team had a Christmas song back in 2014. Last year, for SuperChargers, they did a christmas carol music video and also revealed a real-life vehicle based on Santa's Sleigh that they drove around a racetrack promoting SuperChargers.

^I remember one giants and another one for TT, but I don't remember if they were advertised as a gift though, so it could be anything. Not sure of these were official:

Part of me hopes that is lets us know that in Oct 2017 the last skylander game that will come out and then the series will be over. It will be be called Kao's most utterly devious plan to get rid of skylands forever and this time he means it. As Glumshanks would say how about we just call it Skylanders 7 the End? Kaos just laughs in the background......... And says yeah right Glumshanks, The End?

The gift is probably just a figure coming out with them forcing us to buy it.

Also this "gift" will not be anything big, knowing Skylanders. Probably the annual Christmas video. Poor people on SkylandersGame's facebook are expecting stuff like new dragons, PvP mode, and yawn traps.

How will we get them?

Using the chirps fans had been using in the Imaginators game to transfer their Imaginators to their mobile app game.

Sounds cool, too bad we can't transfer them to the game though >.<

First one is a Light Bowslinger (they don't name it, you get the default name with the chirp). I can't post an image, but it's pretty much a green birdman with a purple bow.

I'll probably end up putting these on all my extra crystals just for the fun of it.

You can't directly transfer it to the game, but you can use the app to figure out the correct item parts, colors and sizes to match it exactly.

EDIT: No matter what I try it won't transfer to my app. Mic permissions are on too :/

I couldn't get it to work at first either, but finally got it so I know its possible even though there's music playing at the same time. I used the speakers from my PC to play the chirp.

It worked after I took off my phone's case. Not sure if that was related to the problem or if just a coincidence.

It just worked with my own crystal on my wii u, but it won't work with this particular video. Why on earth would they put extremely loud music over the beeping?

Because Skylanders PR. For the communication with fandom department it's lacking on that.

The tweet with chirp has been deleted. Maybe too many people were reporting issues with music playing during the chirp? Glad I got it to work, hopefully they put a modified chirp back up for those that want it.

Yeah, if the music got in the way in the chirp, they would have to pull out the video and remove the music.

Wow. That should have been obvious. The whole idea is playing a coded sound transfer, and they mixed in music??? That's like having a color swatch with other colors mixed in...

I found out how to get my phone to finally work with the transfer. For some reason it only works when I take off my phone case and play the video through the Wii U internet browser. I guess it just likes my Gamepad's speakers?

I can get day 2 to work but not day 1. Very strange.
