Question is simple, gameplay-wise, is it better have all 10 elements represented in your senseis or all battle class types?
I'm thinking it's the elements for the elemental zones.

I'd go with Elements. The Shrine animations are cool but are super unnecessary unless you want 100% on the Bonus Goals

All elements, series pretty much lives off of that. We can stay without one or two from this year's gimmick, but holes in the element lineups are grating enough already with the Elites and TT reposes.
In this game in specific? Elements too. Full levels are better than an ability you might not even need.

Elements is more important.
It is possible to own 10 Senseis and have access to all Elements and Battle Classes if you plan who you purchase properly.

Definitely Elements.
Elemental Realms are the best pay-wall locked content I've seen since the beginning of this series, except for Adventure Packs of course. But I'd follow newkill's advice in case you also wanted to try out all the Sensei's unlocked Secret Tecniques.
