This video must have been a concept but did not reflect the finished product in trap team. I sincerely hope Painyatta is voiced like this in the game. I would definitely purchase his skylander if so.
Does anyone know how Painyatta sounds in imaginators.
Ps broccoli guy doesn't sound as good as he did in trap team.

Yeah, he does.
In Creation Clash, when you lay his card, he says "Pain-Yatta!" in a mexican accent.

It's not the same. The accent he has there is much more Hispanic than what he sounds like in game. He does sound more Hispanic here than in Trap Team, but yeah, that was promo voiceover guy #34256 who just happens to have a Hispanic voice.
I don't want to be that guy but I kinda feel like a Hispanic accent on Pain-Yatta is a bit of a waste. Just because he's a pinata doesn't mean he has to be Hispanic. There are other countries that can be associated with candy. Sure the word pinata is of Spanish descent his color scheme and theme don't convey "Hispanic" but really just "Party" |

I was going to say that but I didn't want to be "that guy." But now I'm not "that guy" 'cause you said it, so....

Pretty much my thoughts too. That's one of the reasons I liked him a lot in TT, actually. With Fiesta it fits because he's much more bathed in the Hispanic culture, while Pain-yatta is just a pinyatta and that's where his Hispanic-ness ends.

Hey is there anything you want me to bring for the rest of the week and if so it’s so cool that you can do something and just do it like that |

I find the change in Broccoli Guy's voice to be the biggest voice change for the worst.

Did they even change Broccoli Guy's voice? He sounds exactly the same to me. Also, pretty sure promo Pain-Yatta VA is John DiMaggio.

Are you guys seriously complaining that a fictional piñata monster has a Mexican accent? The same piñata monster with fiesta music as his theme song... Come on now.

I am sorta complaining about it...
That's very disappointing for me that his accent isn't as thick as the promo video. Back when Trap Team first came out, I was disappointed by the game pretty quickly and stopped after a few levels. A few months later, when I was walking through a Best Buy one day I just happened to catch that video and it got me to ride and search for a magic trap (which was difficult to find either before or after wave 3). Then, to my EXTREME disappointment, I get painyatta and he sounds nothing in game like he did in the promo. I don't see why he shouldn't have a thick Mexican accent and I think it goes a lot better with his whole silly color scheme. A lot of other characters have thick, stereotypical accents (e.g. Dino-rang, one of my all-time favorites). Really not sure why it was nixed for him. Pinatas, although rooted in Europe, have a distinct place in Mexican culture. So, despite the opinions of a few other posters, I think he absolutely NEEDS the accent. Guess this means I'll be skipping a smasher/magic sensei unless I get a tremendous deal on it. |

The age of "political correctness " most likely is to blame.
I agree, a Pinata character having a Mexican/Spanish accent is most logical. Dino-Rang's accent, (he uses boomerangs so therefore he most likely is Strayan) is ridgy didgy.
