Depends how you play. Like in all previous Skylanders game, if you only complete levels and visit very few optional areas, it's about 4-5 hours on easy difficulty.

I managed to get it done in about 9 hours, but that's just because i skimmed over most of the collectibles.

I did the first 5 chapters so far and each took me 30 minutes except for the third one which took me 40 minutes. So I'll probably take about five and a half hours, considering the final boss takes some more time.

I'm currently sitting at around 7 hours. I've only played the first 6 story levels (trying and mostly failing to find all the collectibles on my first run of each), but i've also played 3 of the elemental realms and the Wumpa Islands stage. (As well as a few rounds in the arena and a spoilery side thing on the MAP.)

The campaign is definitely shorter than previous Skylanders games. But it's not as short as the 10-level count would suggest -- between those 10 main stages there are often (mandatory) mini levels in the academy or elsewhere which pad out the length a bit. There are also some optional smaller side stages on the MAP that open up as you go, although they are not required to complete the game.

5-6 hrs if you just play the game normal, thats a bit on the short side. sure you could go for the collectables and get some more gaming time.... anyway anyone played the adventure pack, how is the playthrough time there?

It greatly depends on whether you spend time searching for stuff or head to the end I am sure. My son and I always spend time looking for stuff (we don't use a guide), so tend to take longer. You might want to specify what type of playthrough you are looking at doing, straight through, looking around some or scouring the level your first time through.

i guess i should, but with a normal playthrough i mean you dont go searching every corner of the game to find stuff. but if you see something that is natural in your path you go explore it or pick it up and move on. a normal play through of a level is a 15-30min i think...

anyway if anyone want to try speed run it and time it, that would be fun to read about too... but firstly im looking to see what times people get with a normal playthrough...

That's because this game just came out ya dingus. Also, trust me. There is a TON to do besides the main campaign.
