Any duplicate Weapons and Gear add a stat bonus, so thats pretty cool

How high is that stat boost?

Increase of 1, but some other gear i got was increased by a massive 12 Attack

I'm curious myself, I mean leveling up from what I can see levels up the Stats of a Sensai now even so. No idea how far that upgrading for dupe gear will go.

its hard to tell what the degree of upgrades are for duplicates.
The weaker items do just get a +1 or so increase while the increase is higher with stronger items but it might be based on percentage of current power or something.
Ive gotten alot of duplicates recently , but i havnt been recording them coz my natural reaction is "Damn, still no insect set" lol.

If you have regular sensei and a variant you can test it out with the items they unlock.

I really like this concept, i was worried the game would basically stop for me without more things to unlock, but this concept gives the game more long term potential. Even though the upgrades arnt amazing, at least its not like the startdust issue in SC.

You'd need to unlock it with the figure before you can get duplicates from normal chests. I started getting the candy pieces as soon as I'd done the sensei tech realm. All I can get now is duplicates so I'm wondering how high it can go. I'm assuming one of the major reasons this system for duplicates was implemented is so the scripting on levels doesn't get broken by removing chests and to avoid disappointment if a player finds an empty chest.

Has anyone confirmed that variant senseis give a duplicate of the part or do they just give a random chest?

Inb4 a weapon can be upgraded infinetly, surely there must be a cap though
