i don't know if anyone knows this but is it possible to finish this game 100% without having a sensei of every element/battle class?

Depends on what you consider 100%ing the game. If you just want every Star, then I don't think you need anything past the starter pack. If you want every Imaginator part, then you'll need every character.

to truly 100% the game you will need every Sensei and a Creation Crystal of each element. Every Sensei unlocks a pair of Imaginator parts, every element crystal unlocks a set of Imaginator parts and the elemental realms require a Sensei of the matching element to access.

But like just finding every collectible in the game and the save file saying 100%?

Some of the collectibles are locked inside the Elemental Realms, which will require you to scan a Sensei of every element.

First half of this post is for a 100% mark on your save file. The second half is for collectibles, which is separate.

To get 100% on the save file, you need: All stars from the 10 main levels and 10 Sensei Elemental Realms (GPO, EEF and TWI do not count towards 100%, and aren't even listed in the level stars overview unless you add them), all Imaginator sets (individual parts that are not found in sets do not count towards 100%), and all bonus goals (one of which is to create at least one Imaginator in each of the 10 Classes).

For that, you need 1 Crystal of each Element (to get the Crystal-specific sets) and at least 1 Sensei of each Element (for the Sensei Realms). Can't remember if you need to open the Shrines to get all the Stars, but if so (and I think it is), you'll need at least 1 Sensei of each Battle Class.

Now, for Collectibles, it really depends what you mean by that. If you mean all the Imaginator pieces, then you'll need all 31 Senseis, not just 1 per Element+Class, since they each unlock 1 gift piece, plus a weapon when interacting with their Shrine (Kaos doesn't have one, and thus doesn't give you a weapon, though there are Kaos-themed weapons for all Classes).

If you include Soul Gems, you'll need GPO, EEF and TWI for Air Strike, Boom Bloom, Crash and Cortex, though you should already have that if you're going for all 31 Senseis.
