As the title says, putting old Skylanders on the portal asks me to "install" that character. I assume it's because not all of the characters are on the disk to save space, so how do I "install" that character? Do I just have to go through the first level with new characters?

Has the game finished downloading yet? Most of the download consists of character data.

I've downloaded the update and the game finished installing. Maybe I'll just restart it.

Nope, same issue. Strange. Not a good first sign.

Which platform? And which characters?

Personally, I've only put on Senseis, my Earth Crystal, Dark Spyro (whose lines have been redone with the same voice as NPC Spyro), Eye-Brawl (tested if Giants could break bomb walls - they cannot), the Vehicles, the Trophies, and 2 of the Traps (the Starter Pack ones). All of them worked flawlessly on PS4. Might check the rest of my collection tomorrow.

What country are you in? Maybe this is a pre-release issue and a day 1 patch will fix it?

I was trying to play with series 1 Spyro, but I deleted the save and started a new one and it works now.
