Best Place To Buy this year?

Due to Gamer's Club, Best Buy was the best place to buy SC (assuming they were decently stocked near you) last year, and the lack of Wave 2, eliminated 90% of the reason to go to TRU. This year it seem TRU brought their prices in line with everyone else. I figure today (friday) and tomorrow (Saturday), sales will start to leak out at the last minute as the various stores try to one up each other like they've done the past few years. Has anyone heard anything yet this year?

Toys R Us has the most stock and gives you the best value for Creation Crystals this year.

Wish BB USA would have at least their Senseis online, like you know, every other major retailer in the States.

The bundles on Amazon with Prime were the best deals, especially when they first went up. 13 figures for $145 total, and that includes Chompy Mage.

They lost out on sales b/c of their incompetence. I've ordered mine through Amazon.

Meh, depends how many you want. This year, my list is relatively small with only two senseis on my "must buy" list, 2 more on my "plan to get list" and 2 more on my "well I just got such a good deal, I can afford this" list. chompy Mage is on my future list - but I've got NO interest in most of the other villains for instances (just Hood Sickle and TKC), so those bundles are bit 'meh'. I'm hoping more for straight up "X% off" or "BOGO40" or "BOGOFree", type stuff.

so far, after the calls I made earlier, it seems like SuperChargers REALLY hurt the franchise as TRU isn't even opening EARLY this year around my way. Works in my favor as I don't have to sit around waiting for BB to open....so fqar based on what I've heard (3 for 25 on crystals), TRU isn't really messing with Gamers club outside of selection.

Last year, my BB knew nothing about Superchargers being released, and I eventually got someone to check the backroom for a shipment. About 40 minutes later they brought out a small rack on wheels that I now had to look through with 6 parents who showed up during my wait.

WANTED: regular Chompie Mage. Can be loose. We will open and play with it like all of our Skylanders.

I was searching around, and it looks like Best Buy has the lowest price for me (I have Gamers Club and I don't have Amazon Prime). TRU not having the BOGO deals at release lost my business this year.

Best Buy with GCU and Amazon with Prime should be roughly the same price, so it mostly comes down to which one has a better sale you can stack that discount with. The bundles on Amazon are good deals with Prime's discount if you want to get a lot of the Sensei figures ASAP though.

Long-term, Amazon and Best Buy generally pricematch one another and if you've got GCU/Prime then things will be about equal because shipping is going to be free in both cases. Just keep an eye out for sales on release day/release week.

The sad thing this year is that the release information here in the States has been awful. The last few years we knew exactly what was going to be on sale and the best places to buy things. Also, there are hardly any sales at all this year anyways. Additionally, Target doesn't seem to have an exclusive this year and Toys R Us is not having their annual midnight or early openings. This leads me to believe that this really could be the last game ever, which will be sad for me.
