Last year, when we were waiting for the fabled skylanders five, I thought wouldn't it be cool if you could make your own skylander? Well now here we are.

People have been saying that for several years (and TFB have wanted to do it for several years), so no, it's not really weird at all. It has been a very common wish for a very long time, so it's great that it's finally here.

not that weird...I actually find it weirder/funnier that people were predicting interchangeable weapons &/or armor for Skylanders but that feature ended up being used for a new mobile exclusive toys to life game called Lifeseekers

I mean, if I can predict Blaster-Tron has a sword in the future in my dreams, then you can predict that Imaginators exists a year before it's announced

I had guessed the same before SuperChargers and its vehicle gimmick was announced... I was convinced the custom Skylander gimmick would use physical pieces purchased in blind bags that magnetically attached (like Swap Force) and that you'd attach said pieces to an elemental base which would each have a different range of powers... and that you'd be able to swap their weapons on the fly.

I was so annoyed about being wrong that I swore I wouldn't buy SuperChargers, since the vehicle gimmick didn't interest me at all... until I happened upon the game for sale on Black Friday for $25. And it was so disappointing that I further swore that I was done with the Skylanders series unless the next game featured custom-created characters or playable villains... AND HERE WE ARE!
