Transforming weapons are practically confirmed.

Dr. Neo Cortex has a gun that transforms into a staff during his Sky-Chi.
Chompy Mage's figure is holding a staff, yet in a brief look at him in the trailer, he is holding a bazooka.
Blaster-Tron has a sword, and there is also a Blaster-Tron themed bazooka in the creation menu.

This practically confirms it. Transforming weapons are a thing.

I don't think it was ever a huge stretch .

We've always kind I'd have them. If you think of trigger happy...swapping his handguns for a turret other guns.

It'd only be a big deal if they could be in 2 classes, but it's not likely.

Otherwise it doesn't really change anything.
