Dose any one else find it odd that we are less then 40 days from release, but have only seen proof of one in-game variant? (the Halloween one) In past years, we would have seen news on most if not all of the wave 1 if not also wave 2 store exclusive variants. As of now new news on any legendary, nitro, or random Best Buy, Walmart, or Gamestop Variants? Could Activison be making less this year? Or are they just not leaking? It just seems odd compared to the last 5 games.

We also have the dark variants. They might try to tone it down after last years mess.

Variants we know of:
-Dark variants for King Pen, Golden Queen, and Wolfgang.
-Halloween variant for Chopscotch.

Rumored but not confirmed:
-"Noel Chompy Mage"
-"Steel Hood Sickle"

So we know a total of 4 variants, 6 if you think the Steel Hood Sickle and Noel Chompy Mage leaks are legit. That and we'll probably get an Easter variant (since we've gotten one since Swap Force) and of course the Legendaries.

Yes.
But also quite promising.

After last year's Altmageddon I'm happy they decided to focus on the regular characters, before creating variants.

Yeah, I find it weird that we still haven't heard anything about Nitros or Legendaries yet. Nitros could be gone this year, but Legendaries? That would be VERY odd, since they've been there since the beginning.

They were ugly anyway so I dont bother.

Nah, Legendaries are the only non holiday-themed variants I'm expecting each year, besides Darks.
If anything they are the the two variant types with appropriate lore explanations.

Other than that and what has been already confirmed, I'd say one for Christmas (most likely Noel Chompy Mage), one for Easter and a couple legacy ones like Jade or Nitros.

I expect them to come with the website update.

They are really slow to release much of anything but this is no surprise as it seems that most of the time we find out things because they get leaked by someone else .
Usually not directly from Activision or, this year, Toys For B.O.B.
