Definitely sticking with the Crash edition after this! The other's ain't got nothing on them. Only difference is my plan is slightly altered, because I'll have to buy both Golden Queen and King Pen off eBay, Why? Because I share with my brother, so I'll only get Crash and Cortex. But I honestly prefer it that way.

It'll probably change again before release. I aim to spend no more than £100 on Day 1, so I'll probably have to leave some out.

My original plan was to just get two Senseis per element and class, but... I dunno anymore.

I'm sold that the yeti guy is light, the one eyed hooded guy is dark, the mystery tech Sensie is a bazooker, and the mystery magic sensei is a quickshot. Can't have tech Sensie be quickshot, not with Krankcase, and with how I mentioned you could get 1 element and 1 battle class by only buying the minimum of 9 extra skylanders (with the starter pack of course). Now I have to decide which "team" I want, they both have characters I like.

Team 1: King Pen, Air Knight, Boom Bloom (I say she's ninja, doesn't really fit any of the other remaining classes), dark hooded guy, Aurora, Tech Bazooker, Ember, Tri Tip, Pit Boss, and magic quickshot. (I like King Pen, Ember, Tri Tip, Pit Boss)

Team 2: Water quickshot, Air Strike, Ambush, Starcast, Light Bowslinger, Tech swashbuckler, Flarewolf, Barbella, Chopscotch, Mysticat. (I like Air Strike, Ambush, Starcast, Mysticat)

I love character creation, but I'm not sure how much I'm willing to spend another $100 when they don't actually add anything to the game. I want to make a Flynn doppelganger Air skylander (really, we need Mabu skylanders), and a Cthulhu-like Dark skylander. Will wait to see the complete part sets before I decide what I want to create.

What they're (supposedly) releasing on day 1 is a bit much, especially if there are only 20 Sensei and 11 Villain Sensei. One, that will kill our wallets and two, that doesn't seem like that will leave much to be released.
Unless that's waves 1 and 2 that was shown on the link to the releases.

I think it's both wave 1 and 2 as well. That one catalog that listed everything coming out day of launch had stuff all in the pack listing on here, but not all of it. I'm assuming the other parts are considered wave 2. Regardless for me though I'm in the US, so wave 2 will be out within the first week. No time to recover.

It's all Wave One, and it's not a lot actually. Look at the previous years' Wave One. Superchargers especially had lots including Vehicles, which still count, and Swap Force had about 15 Characters and stuff. It's not as much as you may think.

If this has been answered, I apologize. I usually keep up with what's going on with Skylanders, but I've been more focused on Lego Dimensions. We didn't even get Superchargers until this past May, and my son has barely played it. But now he's excited about Imaginators. He's even been trying to save up his money to buy it day one (although I'm trying to convince him to wait a month or so, and he can find it on sale), instead of putting it on his Christmas list, as usual. Considering there are new Lego Dimensions packs coming out that we want, our money will be tight. So do we know what will be needed to 100% the game? Superchargers made it easy, since we only needed 3 vehicles (2 of which he received with the dark starter we bought him). But what will it take for Imaginators? Do we need all the crystals or is that just if we want to create Skylanders of those types? Do we need sensei of each element or of each class type? Or are the senseis and crystals just extras (meaning we can unlock any area with previous Skylanders)? Of course, we'll have to buy some crystals, and we'll get some of the senseis. But I was wondering what we're looking at needing to get, or if he can just pick up the few he likes.

As far as we know, we have Battle Gongs(any sensei),Shrines(one per class), Legendary Treasures and Troll Radios, which are just hidden. As far as we know, crystals are extras(but there are related Achievements completed with just one), and we have (minor spoilers as this wasn't in press coverage) but seems like it's any Sensei of that element, so not class-locked. That last ons is unclear.

Well, you can create a thread, I suggest GD since everyone's checking there a lot more than here.

For now seems to be the same thing as Swap Force - you can get whatever combination of elements and classes as you'd like,but has to be one of each. If the collection screen we've been shown for the two coverage levels is truly the final version, of course.

No plans for anything else at the moment.

All Senseis, as many crystals as I can get my hands on.

It will depend on what each thing do in the game.

All the location pieces for certain, buyed off ebay.

Kaos, absolutely, is the reason I am getting the game.

If I consider senseis a good deal (if sensei elemental realms are something substantial, or if I need the to unlock the abiity to change paths), then it will certainly be all of the villain senseis.

If I decide to pass up on additional senseis, and the starting level cap of Imaginators is reasonable (10 at least), maybe I get one crystal for each class/element.

Crash maybe, if I can unlock the wumpa islands level just with Crash. Neo Cortex seem too un-skylanderish to me, is the reason I am not getting the Crash starter pack (besides the price ).

At most, I will be getting Kaos, the 10 returning villains, Crash an 10 creation crystal (one for each element/class)
