Any Classes You Wish There Were?

So all of the Battle Classes are known now. I know there was much speculation on what the classes would be before they were all revealed, so I decided to make this topic. Were there any classes that you felt like were left out or should have been in this game? If they were, would you imagine the characters in that class to play like? Discuss your idea below.

I wished there was a Fragger class, which revolved around throwing explosives. Characters like Thrillipede and Boomer are examples of how characters in this class would play. If this class existed, I would have made a Flynn Imaginator that throws grenades. Also, if the Sentinel Class isn't a for Healing characters, then I wish there was a Healer Class, too. Characters like Broccoli Guy are examples of how Skylanders in this class would work.

A magic-related class without a focus, maybe Shaman? Staves are cool and all but it's just as cool as firing elemental bolts from your hands. As the weapon, it could be an armlet or charm acessory.

Summoner and Transformer. Best examples are Sonic Boom, Double Trouble, Countdown, Pop Thorn, Pop Fizz & Gearshift. Then Dreamcatcher could've been in without a doubt since she summons those bowbot thingies.

^ Yeah, I was gonna say these. I'm hoping for some form-changing ability with movesets, and I have a couple of ideas I could use that for (Kars who transforms into Ultimate Kars!!), but doubt we'll get anything like that.

I think most of these extra ideas are probably worked into the other classes anyway to make them distinct . We generally have a minion summoner every year and some charscter that can generally heal via some mechanism ( usually life element), Scratches heal technique was a great little unique one, so I'd like to see more stuff like that.

- I woud have loved a magic related class which had been able to do magic with their hands / mind, without the need of additional gear, sort the way Skyrim spells work. Instead of collecting objects, you would have collected books, scrolls or stuff that would "awake" your inner powers.

- I would have also loved a transformer class, reserved for imaginators who are able to turn themselves into other creattures (pop fizz, bat spin, etc)

- Mental powers class: Telekinesis basically

That said, I'm pretty sure that each f the classes will encompass more than we think. For instance, the explosives mentioned by Chompy king, I'm pretty sure there will be there, probably within the batzooker class (not sure if this is the exact name).

I think the problem is we cant tell wat a few of classes do from their name.

Ninja could be anything just about including stealth, paralyze, bombs and speed increase.

I think the main distinctions have to be made between smashers, brawlers and swashbucklers. I think they'll have to give these guys some good effects to diverse them, e.g. Transformation, steal health , increase armour .

"Summoner" and "Shapeshifter" are definitely awesome ideas, but I wonder if they were avoided because it would be difficult incorporating them into custom characters.

I'd have to agree with that, It would be pretty cool to be able to change forms. (especially for Kars)

Two weaponless classes - one for striking styles and one for grappling. I know it breaks the weapon rule, but I think it would add good variety.

Grappler would be too hype on top of fighting game-style specials. They could have gauntlets as weapons, but I guess it'd be too similar to Brawler.

Another issue is that grappling would be very difficult to animate clearly, as it depends so much on physically grabbing the opponent. With such a large variety of enemy body shapes, they'd probably have to resort to a generic grab movement that grips the air near the enemy instead, and that may be hard to distinguish visually. Striking styles would not have that issue.

But I can still dream : P An Aikido-based grappler would be so much fun to play, imagine a moveset based around the Pokemon move Counter.

I think it is a shame that due to the nature of the game, true support classes aren't really feasible. They make playing with one other player essential, because a true support would be unable to succeed well on their own. If this game were up to four player online, they could be very cool. Playing support in Overwatch can be a ton of fun.

I think you can get support character strategies to be good in this style though, you just have to be more clever about it so that the charscter by them self still gains a benefit without relying on an ally to gain the effects.

E.g. For healers you could grow heal flowers etc or like a turret that could heal close enemies, or shoot heal shots at you and allies.

Also terrain type things, like a water sky lander summoning a rain cloud that boost all water skylanders beneath it.

The thing about support characters is they have existed in the past, they just used to be known as "characters that suck". Many characters, such as Shroomboom or Prism Break were rough to play solo, but paired with another "tank" character in two player could wreck stuff.

I used to set up a crystal web of death in SSA with Prism Break and my son would tank with Chop Chop keeping enemies in the kill zone. Shroomboom is terrible when enemies charge him, but if you can keep range he does pretty well.

Broccoli Guy is a good example of a healing support, but of course playing a villain doesn't really count since he is time limited. Whirlwin kind fits this mold.

It would be fun though to be able to have dedicated support classes. And now with a do it yourself, it wouldn't make worthless figures to buy for single player.

No, he means something like a Skylander that transforms into another life form, like an elf who shapeshifts into a dragon, then a bear, and then a bat.

I was being sarcastic. Also, is that a form of fighting? Because different classes just control how you fight.

I guess it sort of is, seeing as the forms the character shapeshifts into can help them fight in a number of different ways.
