From the new details leaked, fan-favorite Skylanders who are going to appear in the upcoming Skylanders Academy tv show, like Spyro, Stealth Elf, and Jet-Vac will be appearing in Imaginators as actual characters, most likely as NPCs.

"Returning Core Characters - Skylanders Imaginators also will feature fan-favorite characters who make an appearance in both the storyline of the game - and the upcoming Skylanders Academy television series!"

Chances are we may even visit their homeland, do quests for them and more. I'm more hyped on Spyro's now extended role in this game and what may be in store for us X3

Ooh, so possibility for classic/legend era references?

Well, we did see a place with a huge Jet-Vac statue... This will be really unique! THough, I wonder what happens when you use a NPC Skylander and play as it.

I don't really think it would be a good idea if they were NPC's what it would be the point?

To explore more of the selected Skylanders background?

I don't know if maybe it's like exploring their background. I see it more as oh, Eon sent so and so to help you because they have lots of knowledge/ some relation to the place where you're going.

I think it would interesting for a couple of the Trap Master's to be NPCs. Imagine any of them talking to the Golden Queen or Snap Shot to Wolfgang (if he is playable).

I would love to have camo do this but IDK if he is that popular

If Sunburn was an NPC i would just die. Flat out gone.

They seem to be focusing on the Skylanders that are appearing on the Skylanders Academy tv series according to the press detail.

Hex please do show up in Academy early. Gill Grunt at the least isn't because he's season 2.

I Love exploring character backgrounds. Like lightning rods home kingdom in SC. so that's what I'm hoping for.

But they will probably just have the old characters giving out missions / mission briefings in specific locations and stuff like that.

But it would also be awesome to get CPU controlled allies for missions. I've wanted to run around with a team of skylanders for ages

Well, the demo world seems to be Windham, Jet-Vac's hometown(tons of bird and Sky Baron statues), so at least someone is getting it.

I would love to see into Chill's back story and help finding her queen. (and maybe a possibly of seeing some of the NPCs become playable)

I can see them giving like side quests for extra collectibles, or even using them to bring back Heroic Challenges.
Also, this could mean we could be seeing some Stealth Elf on Stealth Elf action...

Now that would be a thing. Finish some of these dangling backstories once and for all. Hex can have revenge on Malefor for what had happened to her and perhaps she'll become an un-undead (alive). Roller Brawl will find her brothers and tell Kaos off (or have a romance with him, whatever). I'm sure there are others which I've forgotten.

Whoever appears as NPCs I hope they'll have some depth and aren't just limited to "Skylander rescue me!" or "Hi, go do this, thanks".

There are a few good examples in SC of nice NPCs (queen of the cloud kingdom, the collector) which feel more like mere mission givers.

And please, if we finally get to visit jet's hometown, the sky barons should have wings, The jet pack was something particular to jet vac, not the whole kingdom.

Fins head is one of the customisable head parts so you can probably make a whole fin character and play as him lol .

I'm excited, I've always wanted the skylanders to feel more connected to the game world. I'm ready to talk to Stealth Elf with my 4 different Stealth Elfs.

For now he only says generic "over here, Skylander". We'll need the intro cutscenes to see how he acts there.

Wow. That's all I can say. This is really unique. I love how they are using characters from Skylanders Academy as NPC's. For the first time!

Through the level Jet-Vac says other dialogue too.

"This is the station I've mentioned earlier. So be a dear and use it."

I think i just fangirled a little when Jet Vac start talking.

I think I laughed way harder than I should have when Jet-Vac said: "Sucks to be you!"

Is it me or Jet Vac's lines seems to be...less childish? Cool.

Not bad on the jet vac lines but also the customization of the heroes with imaginite it's not bad and there's a little depth to it. though there is some limit to it.

I hope that, in some way, we get a look into trigger happy's randomness.

it makes me wonder what would happen if I would put a Jet Pac figure for this level. (note to self, start training those Jet pac figures!

I'm calling it now, playing as Jet-Vac in Jet-Vac's level causes the game to crash due to time paradox.

There's no way the game would crash from there being a Jet Vac skylander active while the NPC is in the level... the previous games in the series don't crash when both players play as the same Skylander character in co-op, do they?

Well, they can attack with you in certain areas, though it really could've been more than just those areas and straight up being AI guest skylanders.

So, from what we could see, Jet-Vac now seems to be hyperactive and unable to keep a subject and is racist against vultures, Eruptor is more anxious than usual. I don't know what's the direction Eric had in mind creating these interpretations but they're certainly odd choices.

We have a look at Spyro's NPC role.

Eruptor mentioned stealth elf in a video....we might get more than one npc in each level.
Hmm we might even see the same charcters in diffrent levels.
