I just finished watching the movie, as I apparently got it for my birthday a week and a half ago. And even though it was a movie to have Adam Sandler AND a focus on video games at the same time, I actually liked it.

Am I not the only one on dS who likes this movie? Of course it had its cheesy moments, but overall, it was a pass for me. But that ending though...

I think I'll watch Nostalgia Critic's review on it next.

I enjoyed it. Definitely not my favourite movie, and it had many clichés, but I don't watch many movies so maybe I just haven't seen enough movies to criticise it much. smilie

I didn't like it personally. Too many problems and issues. I get the feeling that they do like the games they present in the film, but that they either don't know or don't care to show them in the light that makes most sense.

It's not some abomination like people make it out to be (which I think is mostly because it involves video games), and it's not Sandler's worst film, but I wouldn't ever be interested in watching it again unless I had friends to shoot the **** with while doing so MST3K style.

Yeah, I mean it was 2015 when this movie released. Do they know much about the games featured in this movie when they were born, like, twenty years after these games were all the rage?
