Please. The release date is 9/20/2015 - just like the game. They aren't going to release the figure a month in advance.

The only thing interesting is that it is coming out on release, and from what I've seen he is Wave 2 in normal form, so at best you can get him one day earlier than the regular figure - if they follow form and release Wave 2 on the day after like they usually do.

The website does have today as the release date. However, it is marked as backorder and will probably only be shipped on release date or later.

That is for the Canadian site. The US one has the figure set to released on launch day, and marks it as pre-order.

It sounds like the Giants are being represented through references in this game. Both Dive Clops and Smash Hit reference and and I really like the idea of having Giants within these other characters' backstories.

Thanks for sharing. The CGI Screen looks so much better than the real figure on the packshot.

Figure looks bad compared to them.

I really like green (it's my favourite colour) but I don't know how I feel about this variant. Would probably be pretty positive, but the figure's paintwork looks awful, and it doesn't seem like the best shade. I'm not a fan of the standard version's colour scheme, though, so if I buy him I'll get this version instead. Just because green.

The figure doesn't even match the in-game model... The paint looks fluo while it should look metallic...

Oh... I don't really like how half of his body is silver. Needs more to break it up. Would be much better if they just made his gloves green or something.

I personally love this choice. 2 for 2 so far for variants being characters I like AND being variant designs I like. Frightful Fiesta is also wonderful IMO.

Reason is that, I'm guessing, Waves 1 & 2 will be out on 9/20/2015 like Micromania.fr listed on their site. Wouldn't be surprised if they do. If one of each vehicle is out (air/sea with a land vehicle in the starter pack), you could pretty much finish the main part of the game on launch day. The only thing you'd have to wait for are the racing packs. This variant will draw customers to Best Buy.

Wow, I know that people are excited but that one is a bit too garish for me. Not as bad as that Sprocket though.

It's getting rather dull seeing predictable variants offered from the same locations...I bet it'll be rather easy to guess which ones that TRU and Targets will be announcing this week. A Legendary Terrafin Set and a Nitro High Volt.

Perhaps for next year they will hire that kid who keeps making fake variants up to come in and design some pretty ones up for the stores to sell for a change.

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting BB to get an exclusive. Would be nice to go in and get it, as long as they dont allow preorders. Because Im gonna want to preorder it and after their many many fiascos of plastering giant stickers on the blister packs, I dont want to.

Gamestop should have Fiesta so then....Walmart not getting one? Maybe they were tired of their exclusives shelfwarming?

I actually like this version of smash hit more looks like I will have to hit bb when it comes out so I do think both wave 1 and 2 will come out day 1 maybe just have wave 2 in smaller quanintes

I'm going to stick to 18 characters and the vehicles, no color variations. I'm so over palette swaps we never play. Except Eon's Elite, the figures look awesome - I love they are adding details to them.

Yeah, I'm on the cusp on doing that as well. Or vote based on what I REALLY like as opposed to the automatic buy button. The bonus missions actually swayed me from not getting any of the "reposes". Many of the characters look "simpler" to me paint wise.

Way cool...can't wait to get him.

Also if the true figure looks like the one in the pack and not the CGI version...(that Green is WAY ..*oww my eyes*..to bright)...i'm going to have to fix the paint on mine. Because the in-game shots show the green much darker...looks like that Pearlized Forest Green...not the Metallic Army Green that Sprocket Variant is painted.

Come to think about it, if they do stick to the characters and not vehicles then that is more than half. We still have a Christmas, Easter, two turbo, maybe a jade, at least two clear, three legendary (or whatever TRU will cook up) and if Walmart gets one and a Christmas employee one and a Thanksgiving Parade one (make this eruptor playable)...it's very possible that every character will have a variant! Wouldn't that be something? Man there are far too many variations lol...

I didn't wanna miss out this varation looks amazing so I preorded it at my bb kiosk should be there 9/20/15

I gotta say I'm glad to see that Smash Hit is already becoming a fan favorite and he hasn't done anything yet. Hopefully he will do better than the one who mant thought they were gonna like, but then everyone thought he was just OK.
