Any fans of Fling Kong, I'd guess.
But his gameplay is so nice and just a game old, there are other Air skylanders that could've used the new moveset, much before Jet-Vac.

Maybe they didn't brought back Trap Team Cores because they are perfect just the way they are...? smilie

Seriously speaking, the reposes they choose are insulting.
The concept of reposes Gimmicklanders is already embarassing but they can't come here and tell me those were the character which could use new powers the most.

116 Skylanders and you can't get past SA for most of them...?
It's almost like they thought SA Skylanders weren't good enough at their eyes...

No, ok, just kidding but stil my argument remains.

I like Fling Kong's gameplay but anyone would have been better than Jet-Vac after 2 reposes and a Mini.

It's way too soon to repose Fling Kong. I'm glad JV got a re imagining though. I think VV got the mains of each element (except Spyro) out of the way, so TfB can re imagine other Landers for the next game, which will hopefully and maybe even likely include Spyro.

I've yet to understand if this was a V.V. choice (not the characters I mean the idea itself) or if it was imposed by Activision.

I frankly can't see TfB coming up with more reposed Gimmicklanders for Skylanders 6 even if the Story could allow it.

I just find it a little weird how Trigger Happy and Gill Grunt are Superchargers and Spyro is not. I feel like hes getting left out. This is the one game hes not been apart in. I just want him to be in more Skylanders game. As much as I love Pop Fizz, I wish it was Spyro.

Fling Kong only appeared for one game and I don't think that they would want to repose someone who is only released on the previous game.

They did it in SF with Chill.

They did it in TT with Fryno.

The thing is, Fryno and Chill were just reposes, same character +1 ability. In SSC the reposes arent exactly reposes since they are (almost) complete reimagines of that character. In order to qualify for a repose this game, characters from TT would have to be completely redone. Maybe Fling Kong could still throw frisbees like how Hurricane Jet Vac and Jet Stream can, but he'd probably have to be knocked off his magic carpet (and there would have to be a vehicle based off of his new design).

Like others said, yes, I would have absolutely loved to have other skylanders replace the current reposes, but I guess we have to deal with it.

For me, I would have liked:
Diamond Shooter Prism Break
Mega Magic Zoo Lou
Freezebee Chill
Spellcaster Double Trouble
Saw Spinner Fling Kong
Dark Dagger Hex
Flame Cannon Ignitor
Twin Blast Sprocket

(I'd post vehicle ideas if anyone would like)

That's also why Fling Kong (or Fryno, Tread Head, Zoo Lou) would have worked better: they already have vehicles... Kinda.

Not a personal idea it was posted by some user some months ago.

Would like to see your vehicles ideas isaac! smilie

Well since Drek wanted to know, Ill put some anyway. I have yet to come up with a few more if someone would like to help.

Prism Break: Diamond Cutting Drill (The drill is made of diamonds since only diamonds can cut diamonds)
Chill: One of those kinds of boats with the back part that spins (Steam boats I think?)
Fling Kong: Helicopter
Hex: Bone motorcycle
Sprocket: Dual Barrel Tank

I have no idea what to do for Double Trouble, Zoo Lou, or Ignitor

I wasn't counting them, because they didn't have anyone else to choose from, with SSA being the first game and all.

I just thought it was wrong that all 18 cores from Trap Team were just immediately all forgotten regardless of their popularity. So much potential with them and they didn't even give one of them another chance. That's what really bothers me and some really could have worked in my opinion.

It's V.V. here.

If they reposed some TfB characters in SWAP Force it's just because they couldn't repose a character in the same game he/she came out.

And they simply choose the overused ones for the remaining SuperChargers because they were the laziest choice possible (except for Roller Brawl which coincidentally is one of their characters).

Before anyone attacks me saying I'm hating too much on them I'd like to point out one thing: this is purely my personal point of view.
I don't pretend it to be the objective truth by any means possible.

But it won't change.
V.V. only cares about their games and sometimes they even put the series aside in favor of what they think is better even if, in my opinion of course, it's actually the exact opposite.

I do think both TfB and VV have their own perspectives in the development of Trap Team and SuperChargers respectively. TfB's visionary is considered to pick the characters that do admire kids want, typically for shortlisted reposes, Minis, and even Eon's Elite.

But for VV it is slightly different from what TfB has. With the main focus as gimmicks becoming a mountain-peak hit of the series, VV decided to use the reposed characters as gimmicks for SuperChargers - a point in TfB's main focus. This minuses off Spyro as the main character for the series. VV's Elite features characters that most Skylanders older fans want - what I can say an "at least" that would just unaminously work.

Since Trap Team, the main focus of Skylanders is currently based on Trigger Happy's catchphrase: No Gold, No Glory. I didn't played any of the Skylanders console games, but what I can tell the series' nature: use gimmicks for the ultimate experience. The developers seemed to choose characters ready for repose by what's best, preferring the most notable based on that catchphrase: generally because it give a huge advantage for Activision's profit.

They sell who they think it's popular because selling who they think it's popular is going to well, SELL, if it's the only option. Reposing the flagships and no one else will only generate a liking for them or none for the younger fanbase, it's a circle that they don't want to break out of because it's safe. It's not profit, it's just plain laziness.

Also trying to use the catchphrase like it's a given fact is really silly when it comes to Acti. "No Gold, No Glory" means 'if you don't win, it doesn't matter'. Nothing with profit, it's about being the first, getting the gold. By that logic they'd be Game of the Year generators but no they just want to sell more of what sells.

^ Yep.

Drek: You guys think the DEV houses can dictate which characters get produced? I'm sure they are a factor, but the suits of Activision is the controlling vote. This just smells of being "safe" with the reposes. It's going to take the consumers saying no and leaving them on the shelves for them to rethink this.

I sincerely doubt they don't even have the decisional power to enstablish reposes.
I mean I get the fact it's Activision which decides who is popolar and who isn't... But think about the past:

- Giants had 3 out of 4 character of each Element reposed.
It was an interesting concept and a smart way to make new Portal Masters buy SA Skylanders.

- SWAP Force saw the majority of those characters coming back as S3 but also made some interesting comebacks both from Giants and SA (Jet-Vac, Chill, Pop Fizz, Sprocket, Hot Dog, Camo) not to mention some rather important Lightcores (Flashwing, Wham Shell and Warnado).

- Trap Team nailed them by heavily focusing on new characters and simply reposing 5 characters but carefully trying to pick the right ones (1 from SA, 3 from Giants and one from SWAP Force).
Gill Grunt had to be there because we all know he's our Lord and savior.

SuperChargers simply pretends Trap Team never existed (sorry but I don't buy there weren't good Skylanders among the 16 released last year), brought back the most overused characters and only has one effectiv S2.
As I already said I consider all of them to be reposes: give them new weapons, new armors, new powers and they'll still be the same old Terrafin, Gill Grunt, Jet-Vac and so on...

I would also like to point out Skymiibos wouldn't have happened if it weren't for V.V. so they might actually have more decisional power than we can imagine (same for TfB of course).

But it really doesn't matter.
I'll just wait and see when and how hard it will backfire, because it will.
The average customer will see Deep Dive Gill Grunt and think "I already have two of them at home... But I've never seen that one eyed armored guy before".

But he never left. You see, you can actually put that Fling Kong onto the portal in SC and he'll actually work.

You're welcome.
