Skylanders: SuperChargers to be Skylanders 2 in Japan?

Skylanders: SuperChargers was actually advertised in the Japanese Nintendo Digital Event (skip to 12.20).



So does this mean that Skylanders: SuperChargers will be the sequel to Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure in Japan? Normally, Nintendo cuts out games of their direct that won't get a release the the respective region.

That would be wierd. Because of the trap slot. & they wouldn't have traps. [Maybe Japan gets a exclusive portal].
& they won't get Swapforce,Giants & Trap masters

Hype.

All I have is a tablet, which can't handle the space of one more Skylanders game (and a ~30 strong skylander collection), and a Japanese Wii U. Relief(?)

I'd wager that getting those two Amiibo characters was a crafty move to get a stronger hold in Japan. They released SSA in July 2013 which was quite late but then again competition wasn't as strong either so it made sense. It's pretty obvious they need to get them hooked up with the latest product and most likely will work backwards if sales are strong enough to allow that. I've heard that they were crazy for Amiibo and Splatoon but SSA were rather soft as they knew what the rest of the world had.

i didnt think much of it at first but its very clear now. if you look at the newlanders design and the new poseurs of old design, its clear by now they are gearing up for a heavy release in japan.
