Just a little heads-up, a Wikia staff member was allowed to do a community Q&A with the developers of Skylanders willing to answer your general Skylanders questions that is around the future of the Skylanders series and what you want to know from the creators. Are Minis going to return?

I'll go and post here first.

1. Are Traps usable in the new game?
2. Are we getting normal Elemental Gates Back?
3. Is Malefor going to appear in the main series anytime soon?
4. Are we getting PVP back?
5. Are old characters going to get balanced properly to be as fun as the new characters?(kinda asking for this one to get a vague answer,but still)
6. Are we finally going to stop getting new Gill Grunt and Eruptor figures? They have more than enough.

Fixed, apparently there's something wrong with linking Wikia Blog Posts. Try and post the questions on the blog seen in the Skylanders Wikia Activity Feed.

It's something with that specific blog,it kept breaking it at the username even without the URL code.
Either way,posted the questions with a little less bias there. I recommend posting in both places but focus in there, we don't want to miss this opportunity for sure(especially since the SF one was kind of pointless).

Well, that lines up with the german magazine showing Sky5 news on the 3rd. The reveal's between this and next week, after all.

There have been a lot of references in media outside of the games to past Spyro the Dragon series. Is this hinting that we may see more characters from classic Spyro in Skylanders?

Please note that the devs will only see the questions posted on the wikia blog, not on other sites.
June 2nd may or may not be the reveal date, but the Q&A can help answer some of the questions fans want to ask the devs. This is currently their chance.

Wow, how dare people have accounts in more than one place? I mean, it's not like the Community Wikia person even knows this site exists, so only people in there should have the opportunity to ask things for the next game!(and then we'd have people whining that no one ever warned about it. Yay for derailing!)

Their previous community video was after the reveal, so I doubt they'll be doing it before just to have a bunch of 'you'll have to wait and see' as the answers. It'll have that for a ton of things,but at least after the first trailer they can say more.

I can expect they won't answer the questions that may be related to Skylanders 5, that may be a bit spoilerific.

I mean gameplay related, that doesn't spoil much if they reveal the gimmick in the trailer.

Though it could end up having other cases of false alarms like "we won't speak about Glumshanks now" from last year.

Or the Blobbers "becoming a villain because he was left behind in Giants" thing.

Yeah thanks Aura for the heads up...but the game is already done...they won't be fixing/adding anything per some of the questions im reading there.
Hopfully this will sink in to the teams that work on the game and add many of the good ideas i read to the next game....but this is the 5th game coming up and it hasn't sunk in yet....oh well.

You mean Sky 5 is done being worked on? I highly doubt it.

After two years of development, it's at least well into late beta. It'd take some emergency or Activison changing their minds on a gimmick too late to not have everything they want in progress or at least planned.

They'd have all the basic functions and story line of the game already done and decided on a while ago so yeah they wouldnt add anything much major now. Just little things and smoothing things out which takes the longest. So something like putting Malefor into the game etc at this point really isn't plausible unless they were already planning to include him.

The post is is specifically pulling user away from this Spyro-focused site to another Spyro-focused site.

Is the official criteria for advertising now "making money"? And if there's no "money" involved, then it's okay to post spam about another site?

That's offtopic. I think that before a thread to remind people for the only Q&A we're getting for the next few weeks it's better to open a thread in Help and Suggestions to question that in there.

Back on topic, someone asked them about PVP with CPUs. Wow, we went without that for so long and most fighters nowadays only have that in story and arcade modes that I forgot that it used to be a thing. That's why the more people the merrier - though it also makes them conveniently forget a question or two that would've been useful.

Spore, if you want your questions to be answered, post them on the Q&A Wikia blog. They won't be answered from this site nor elsewhere. I've already explained this a few times already.

1. Is the franchise not doing anything with characters other than level and upgrades (ie heroics and quests are not going to be supplanted with anything more meaningful)
2. PVP coming back?
3. Online mode coming?
4. Traps supported.

This along with anything they show in the game is the only thing I need to know to know if I am making a purchase this year.

Usually only the OP but if it's there in bold I have no idea.

If they post the questions here, that's fine. But if they didn't post their questions over in the wikia blog as well in order for them to get answered, their questions won't get answered. And they'll be wondering why. I hope they don't say and whine "No one told me to do that!" or "Why didn't anyone tell me?!".

Because I think it's about time I stop trying to explain over and over again, just when the time for the Q&A is almost over.

Well,fingers crossed that this time we won't get a wave of vague answers and "we can't talk about that", because what's the goddamn point of a Q&A if you can't answer anything, with so many questions of varying specifications.

Sorry about that, Take. I recall that you were also the one who was a little down when I posted the Q&A Swap Force topic in 2013 when the asking-questions period had been over and the video was already made.

Yeah, we'll see. Unlike last time, a lot of people share the same mindset on the question front, so it looks like odds are good.
