There are two Wolfgangs. That looks like it might just be for the "Grand Prix" mode, but I wouldn't be shocked if you could play as them.

I'm guessing you'll be able to play as them in all racing modes and missions. Which means they will function like normal characters in the Wii/3DS version since it's all racing.

Love love LOVE all the stuff in the new promo. So much excite from this. There is however 1 thing I disliked about it....

Im guessing villains in the last part are just part of the character selection of online mode. Wait... do trophies unlock extra villains to play as online?! Also why does V.V constantly try to make Kaos look like a baby compared to T.F.B's version of him?

Welp, it's gone.

I really hope there's more to these trophies than just unlocking villains... No novelty to that besides vehicles with new moves (meh) and the villains themselves (but that novelty was done last year).

What is just wrong with DD Trigger Happy, did he get a nasty sunburn so bad his fur turned dark gold?
For the sake of not spoilering what I shouldn't for fellow users:

Well, there was a sky Big Bad Woofer track for sure, I'd like to see them explain why Da Pinchy allowed us to mess with the clock again.
I want to tell myself that town with the Eon statue isn't the Citadel, but who knows if VV threw the design out of the window and did it on their own way. Not impossible it's not the town shown in Return to the Dragon King though, the houses are pretty similar and it's real close to the Academy.
And with more footage of what appears to be the hub, might not be Iron Jaw Gulch still, unless there was a desert town with sandstone buildings in it at some point.

Very interesting trailer which has raised more questions than answers.
This trailer has given me hope that this will be the best game since swap force.

Definately liking the look alot more, and seeing our dear villains with no kiddified redesigns makes me real happy .w. But still wary some other things might change for no reason, they can still mess with Kaos' character again.

I just wish the villain vehicles were actual toys, tho, that's for sure.

Even if the trophies are just playable villains in races, I think I'm going to have to pick up at least some of the cooler ones for use in Skylanders Superchargers Racing, since I plan to play multiplayer races with my family (assuming it has a splitscreen vs mode) and I'd love to have a big roster with some villains for everyone to choose from.

It's most likely an online racetrack. As Mario Kart has shown, those don't really need a story behind them.

Some other viewings later...

1) Eon almighty is that lipstick Kaos has in his mouth
2) Hex appears in a trailer finally! 5 years for 2 seconds, you go girl.
3) This really seems to have been recorded off of the Wii version. The colors are just too watered down, even from the Skylantis levels which we've seen as super colorful and vibrant.

Oh wow, looks pretty good so far.


Looks like that Trigger Happy is some type of alter ego.

Nice to see Wolfgang and Pepper Jack, but Hood Sickle was odd to see. Still have hopes that Krankcase gets in somehow, and maybe we'll see Grave Clobber included with the Golden Queen?

The Thump Truck looks.. interesting. Is that an alter ego of Splat in there?


The music that plays has to be the main theme. It sounds really good overall.

They seem to be race powerups, but being in an on-foot section it's hard to tell. They definately never appeared in the gameplay before. It's also on the Sky section with Buzz Wing, so maybe it's the Wii version of the Magic Items ingame?

Oh this being the main song, we still have the Amiibolander trailer, which has a different rhytm but has a slow buildup like all the themes we've had so far. I'm actually think of boss theme.

Splat also seems to be driving Burn-Cycle in the footage, but I'm thinking.. Doesn't RB get horns in her Soul Gem? It could be her, it'd explain the white and the obscured face... Though not why the models are so bad. Again, hoping this is Wii because they put our hopes up for good models on Skylantis and Cloudbreather Dragon.

But it's still to good to be Wii gameplay.
At least compared to what we got the past years.

I'm betting that Double Dare Trigger Happy is the regular version but in a somehow bad lighting.
If that's the standard graphics it's a downgrade from Trap Team...

But I'm confused...
The previous videos/screenshots were much better.
Maybe it was just a bad quality video.

I think the online mode is definitely going to be working on Mario Kart logic. I mean, who wouldn't want to have a sky race through the Big Bad Woofer? What this really means is that we'll be seeing even more returning locals in the online mode.

Well it is in 480p while the e3 stuff was comfortably in 720p and higher. Quite lazy for an ad, but considering it tramples over itself on why we should be buying noodles, probably they just got whatever footage from VV put together.
But those powerups are definately strange. They made a big deal about ingame Magic Items but now they just look like placeholders, a month from release.

The pilot almost looks like a white Hex variant...
And the one driving Thump Truck (at least that's what I think it is) looks like a white Splat version...
