Honestly Enigma is a bit of a disappointment.
He certainly is one of the coolest looking but he's kind of boring to play as.

I agree 100% he has an awesome design but his attacks are boring, he is slow, and his soul gem power is dumb. I prefer Blastermind way more (know I will be in the minority on that one).

Yeah I admit I only disagree cause I hate the design of Blastermind and that he's just not my style. However as long as his unlock those easy but pointless and timewasting puzzles stays around he will remain in my Skylander roster for those skylander games that it still works with.
Enigma WILL be my choice of Magic Trap Master because he is more of my style (melee) however he's not someone who will be an active character in the next generations.
Just because he's more of my style and i love his design doesn't mean it changes that he's rather boring to play as.

Doubt it.

I can only speak for Italy: all the supposed Wave 5 (don't know about the traps) is scheduled to be released between the 8th (Amazon.it) and the 22nd (GameStop) of May.
Amazon.it currently has Enigma, Gearshift, Flip Wreck and Fling Kong listed as a May 8th release.

A trend I'm seeing with the magic skylanders is that they are contrarians. Most of them (short of Spyro and a few others) require a bit of sophistication to use properly. Although Skylander Dad didn't like the bottom path, I definitely liked the knock back effect and I can see some interesting strategy around the "hide" and "hit" techniques between moving in and out of his stealth modes.

To the masses, I know he won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I like the differences here.

From what I've seen, Enigma is more of a "rouge" character that takes a bit of skill to use. It seems as you need to be able to combine his attacks and his invisibility to really be effective with him. It doesn't make him a bad character; just hard to use.

Like the other 2 said...no... he is not...(altho he would look cool as a Legendary) smilie
All Varaints have been know since almost the begining.
Now they could pop a Chase Variant on us...since its not an in-game design...the "Speical" tag is in all games so its easy to add to any figure thought of later on.
