So my friend has the target pre-order card for the UFO hat. Now, if I use his cards on one of my Skylanders, do I permanently have that hat on that save file, or just that particular Skylander? Can the pre-order card be used multiple times?

Once the figure is loaded in The Trap Team game with the UFO hat on it is added to the game file as a Legacy Hat. Putting the hat on the portal after you have it in the Hat Log it will come up on the screen that you already have it loaded.

The card can be used again and again, and my understanding is that Swap Force manages this on a per profile basis. I think Trap Team does this on a per game file basis.

where did he get it from? i heard that hats really good, i would like to get one too.

Its ok...it was changed a bit in Trap Team...
Swap Froce: +9 Speed, +15 Elemental Power, +40 Max Health
Trap Team: +6 Speed, +7 Armor, +15 Elemental Power

The Knight Helm is the best hat to carry over from the old game...Till you get the Arkeyan Helm's of course.
Knight Helm: +8 Speed, +20 Armor, +20 Critical Hit

If you have the actual card and scan it into Trap Team, it gets added as a Magical Item.

If you just carry the hat over from a figure wearing it, it only counts as a Legacy Hat.

^ Good point. You still need the card to add to the magic tally in TT.

aww, i guess i had a different image in my mind, yea its not that good of a hat, i like crit over anything else. Also wasent the rainbow hat the best in TT? i got it in TT i like it alot.

And yes Alphawolf it is the best hat to get in Trap Team...you get it after winning in Nightmare Mode...(unless you just put in on one of your skylanders from the 3DS game )...altho it dose look kinda ...odd.
