No, it isn't. Only one console in it is dead to begin with, so you can barely call it old. There are plenty of years to go.

Maybe not a "classic" in the way you usually call something a "classic",

Quite amazing game, yes, quite!~

Well, for classic the game needs to be good for a very long time. It's got the good, but 4 years is not a long time at all when it comes to video games.

Yeah, let's come back to the 10th anniversary and see if we feel the same.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.

I played it last week with an apprentice Portal Master. Legendary Bash chose him . Anyone new to the franchise seems to pick the original game first .

A couple aspects seem to have aged, mostly because of stuff added later in the series, but even then and even without nostalgia it's a lot of fun to play. I definitely wouldn't say it's a classic yet, and I think if we got another Skylanders game with the same immersive writing, I'd only return to SA for nostalgia. I also think the gameplay will age more than people expect. However, right now it's the only game I've played with both this kind of writing and physical interaction, so I'd say it's worth playing even if you've gone through all the sequels. SA acknowledges the player and makes them involved with its lore in a unique way, which makes the game stand out, far more than any toy-related addition Acti could throw at us.
